  • I took the Tri-Rail commuter train on an adventure from Boca Raton through 3 counties all the way to Miami International Airport, then had lunch at the airport before hopping on the Metrorail.

    I can’t believe how inexpensive it is to ride the rails. I appreciate the out of the box adventure. Definitely something cool to do if you have the time.

    I appreciate you making this video. I’ve always driven or ubered to FLL and avoided taking MIA flights. After watching your video I’ll consider the trip to MIA an option.

    I almost used the Tri-Rail today for the first time to go to West Palm Beach and the Blue Heron bridge... If you could get an underwater can that place would be amazing to film. Looking forward to watching this when I land back home!

    Nice, thank you Vlogger! From now on, I will add MIA to my departures. Finally, they did it European style! Uber to closest Tri-Rail station, then to MIA.

    At the time you made this video, it cost just as much for long term parking at Washington Reagan Airport of $17 a day. Also a former New Yorker who used to ride the D train.

    Nice video Terry I was just talking with a friend of mine up here in New York about the rail system down in South Florida that the only thing I remember was the elevated train in Miami . For $6.25 from Boca to Miami you can’t beat that especially Ubers would probably cost 60 70 bucks.

    I used to take the Tri-Rail commute from Miami to Boca and back daily for 2 years (2014-16), before the MIA station was built. It was OK for the most part, except when it got crowded during rush hour every morning and afternoon. However, it could get bad in a pinch if the Tri-Rail was late, which happened often, maybe once or twice a week. I hope the system may have improved since. Good luck , and thanks for making this video.

    • @BarefootVlogger
      @BarefootVlogger  Před rokem +1

      Thanks Henry. Problem with Tri-Rail is it shuts down Northbound around 9:40 in Miami. So if you miss the last train you have to Uber or get to Brightline then Uber from Lauderdale back to Boca...stay tuned!

    Great video. Took the same train to MIA about 13 years ago. Sadly someone jumped in front of the train, which I hear happens frequently and delayed us by about 2 hours. Looks like not much in terms of the train has changed. Loved going along with you.

    Terry,You brave soul riding the Tri rail to Metro. Is kind of Riding the Sprinter fro old Town San Diego. Then riding the SanDiego Mtro to Middletown to Lindbergh Field. We need a People mover in San Diego. Is so costly here. Transporting is a rip off here. We have no Brightline only Amtack. The Ride rom Oceanside goes thu alot scenic sites such as the Pacific Ocean ,Slough,Great neighborhoods like Del Mar which is Like Boca and W.P.B. Very classy. Amtrack goes to Santa Barbara which us Naples,Florida

    Hi Terry they must of fixed up the Miami Airport. I flew in there January 1998. Swore would never do it again. Couldn’t even find a coffee Dirty banged up walls. I’ve travelled alot had never been in such a poor managed airport. No where to sit. Cold inside airport didn’t feel like a/c
    No posts where to go.
    Yet it seems someone must of took it over as it looks 100% different I was so surprised because u think Miami total disappointment now i make sure to not ever fly in or out of there

    That is not Miami international airport it is Miami airport station if you want to go the Miami international airport you have to take the bus to get there or the other train.

    • @BarefootVlogger
      @BarefootVlogger  Před 4 měsíci

      You're being a little too technical. The trirail leaves you right at the Mia Mover which gets you into the airport in minutes. Nobody takes trirail to go to the airport station, unless maybe they work there.
