I was rooting for you to get through that log jam!! I bet there was a lot of flatties under that mess.
I’m a history freak. When I saw y’all dragging your kayaks through the grass,it brought dark memories of the portages that Lewis and Clark had to take during their journey to the Pacific in the northwest. Fortunately.. your kayaks don’t have an iron frame like theirs were. Wrapped with animal skin. Y’all enjoy. seeyalaterbye
1kittybob -Thank you for offering a historic perspective!
I like history too! I thought more about how LaSalle & his crew had to deal with the marshes and swamps after getting the LaBelle stuck in the muddy & shallow Matagorda Bay, their trials and tribulations. The mosquitos & alligators --🤕😵💫😵
I read a great treatise on the early surveyors They had so many challenges, charting, measuring and recording uncharted lands from the Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast. All with a 100' length of chain & transits. Crossing every chasm, river, mountain- Fight off hostiles, both human and animals (& Meeting friendlies). Accomplishing many almost insurmountable feats of fortitude and skill while still managing their mapping with amazing accuracy! True American Heroes!
I especially love the music you play. Hecha le ganas amigo!
Yeeeeah bro, you're built different to go through all of this to catch some damn fish, but I'm not surprised.😂
Y'all, I texted this man last night asking was he fishing today and he said yeah.
I check my weather app and see it's gusting like 35 mph from the south with rain.
I tell Mark have you not seen that hurricane that's coming in the morning?
Mark: Ahh bro, I'mma just leave around noon. It ain't no big deal.
Me:😐
Lol some times u gotta risk it for the biscuit. Fishing always an adventure 😂😂
😂
Great hard core dedication Marc. Reminds me of me 50 yrs ago, hardcore to the bone!!!!!!
That’s some hardcore adventuring!!! Absolutely Love It🤘 Glad it paid off.
Great video, Mark, though it was a little rough getting back in that marsh, but boy did it pay off with some nice reds and a decent black drum, awesome! Take care and be safe!
Thanks. Im just sitting in a thunderstorm in plantersville. Your video made for a nice morning.
"Every 🦨 gets you closer to a THUMP!" 😉👍 SUPER great catch 💯
Gotta admit. That logjam would have been enough to convince us to pick a different spot. Admire your dedication and perseverance 😊
I'm pretty sure that's the spot I tried to talk you into a year ago. I went about 30 yrds in and was scared there might be gators. I don't want to go there alone!
Man I love watching your vids
Always fun to watch. Great to see the exploration. All that fresh water that got dumped up north is about to get released down the trinity
Lots of flooding up there man.
@ 1:50 THUMP "phew, That one's pretty solid!" 🤣
😂🤙
I caught a limited on 1 battery, on my 5th trout landed it then battery died, nice adventure going past logs!
Nice film''n Mark!!!
Another awesome adventure with the G.O.A.T ..Thanks for all your awesome donkey catching videos bro you killed it ! Tight lines
👍👍👍👍👍great 🎣 video and be careful and I will be watching for the next one.
Thanks 👍
Nice tree pounder there. LOL!
You had to be in matagorda lol
“It’s a good spot man but it has it’s hazards”, as a giant tree trunk floats down the marsh 🤣
Portage time! 😊
How are the flounder in the mashes looking to get a pedal kayak and fish the marshes.
You do not know until you go🎣
20v dewalt 16” chainsaw goes a long way in the kayak
The Bulldogs of the marsh !!
Not from the news reports of great amount of water from recent storms causing massive errosion miles above this. People loosing acreage so also trees.
Had a nice red run under the boat, my rod was bowed against the side of the boat.
It took off and jerked the rod outta my hands. Without hesitation I dove for my rod.
I took all the good ribbing from my friends but landed the fish and my rod. Then loosened the drag. ...it was a good day. Ha.
😂 been there before 🙌
Hey brother Mark
Notice you use GoPro cams for your recordings. How often you have issues with them? I have 4 and have many issues with batteries dying faster than normal. I use remote control to access them when hunting.
I stopped using GoPro as my main camera. Too many issues with that brand, very unreliable. My rear camera is GoPro as a secondary view. I’ll buy a second Ace Pro in the near future.
Not for certain, but was that Mando on the Solo Skiff?
No, my buddy Tim.
WOW, turn around
👍
Just curious, but have you ever had any notable rattlesnake encounters in your Kayak ?
Thankfully I haven’t but I have seen a lot of snake from afar.
BRAZOS RIVER MOUTH
LOST LAKE
Isn't that kind of unusual for so many dead trees to be floating through a shallow marsh?
That's exactly what I was thinking!
U got good eyes
👀
