/ johnbarneswoodworking Clock I made out of an old rotten and porous stump in my front yard. This is the first time I have used resin and attempted inlaying in a project. Thanks for watching!
That is a beautiful thing, great video, just the right speed for me and the best thing is there is no music , I much prefer to hear the machine sounds, well done
My mother in law had a clock that was on a piece of redwood from Sequoia national park. At the she died I didn’t care for it NOW I wish I had it. Hoarding dosent seem so bad lol I hate it things I get rid of later I want. Good job on the clock wish I had ur tools
@@stevenlarratt3638 just finished with the clock and it looks amazing I'm still in shock on how good it looks . Plus the clock works . Super happy .......
it is so hard to see the minute and hour hand. quick coat of spray paint on the clock hands would make a huge difference. you did a great job on the clock.
Thank you for the honest feedback. What about this video made it seem like I don’t enjoy making videos and was in a hurry? Note: this video was seven years ago. I’ve taken a break from CZcams up until last week due to my main job, but I’m getting back into it and enjoying the process.
Could he not tell that you were an amatuer? I mean if he couldnt work out that you werent trying to sell the products or had a massive industrial unit what hope is there
this is fireeeeee.
Thanks for the fiery comment man!
What a pleasure to see someone HAND craft something instead of laser cutters and 'touch pad planers'. Lovely clock!
That girls reaction made it all worth while watching ...and it works ...and its beautiful ....

ERMERGERD IT WORKS!!
I prefer to leave it more natural with the bark on.
Same here. This was fairly rotten though, so the bark all but fell off when you touched it
I'd guess that was Cottonwood ?? which is a nice soft wood and the prefered wood that trappers make their fleshing beams out of
Watch the original came out. Like!
Lindo trabalho
Thanks!
Lindooo 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Gracias 🙂🙂🙂
Very interesting. I am going to try this. What did you use for the different finishes, and why the lighter? Thanks.
I used resin to coat the wood and soak into the grooves. The lighter was used to bring any air bubbles in the resin to the surface.

Not exactly what i would of done. Looks high quality

I heard her say, "Where is the clock that was up there?"
hiya.. at 0848 there's some stuff you put on then sand it off after it dries..what is it ?
Epoxy resin with black pigmentation

Wasted 12 minutes of my life. This is amateur work.
+Mike Hunt
I'm definitely an amateur. Thanks for watching to the end!
he didn't, he fast warded to the end.
Mike Hunt Your momma should have let you stay in kindergarten a little longer to mature. This is blasted amazing work.

@@chilldog1234567890 if he fast forwarded then technically he wont have wasted 12 minutes :D
