I had chaps but didn't like the belt around my guts. I got rid of them and replaced them with Bib and brace chainsaw overalls. I was pretty slack safety wise and have a couple of cuts in pants which would have been nasty if a hair deeper. When your cutting remotely on your own a chainsaw bite would mean disaster.

The bi wing plane is probably a Stearman.... with a radial engine. A Contractor friend who was a P51 pilot in WW2, had a Stearman in 1974 in Baton Rouge, LA at the Downtown airport. I got to fly the front seat..... like Snoopy, leather helmet and all.

Personally I don't burn cottonwood, to much ash in the stove. However, not long ago one fell and blocked half the highway. Some firewood guys showed up to help the road crew get it out of the road. The stump that uprooted was 15 feet below the road grade, 😆. These guys showed up with 20" bar saws to cut a stump that was almost 6'. I drove home and got a couple man size saws so they could cut the root ball off and buck it.

That sure is one nice lady there TinMan.
I just took my 576xp Autotune running a 24" .404 bar and chain off the shelf this past weekend and cut a big truck load of hard Maple that was 41" on the base in 90 to 95 degree heat.
Mine has a little work done on it, opened the transfers up a little, base gasket delete, decomp plug and a gutted muffler, first time she's been used since Jan. 2019.
Fueled and oiled her up and 5 pulls later she's purring like a wild cat.
As you know I love the 575/576 series, great power, big tourqe and they won't beat you to death.
Be Safe and Take Care Brother.👍

Výborné video 👍This saw served me from 2009 until this spring. This saw cut and felled an average of 10 m3 of oak and other hard wood per day.) On 50 cm logs for fuel) The bites were probably due to low-quality gasoline. I've only used XP oil all my life, but the gasoline has been pretty poor lately. My Suzuki intruder also has a problem with it :) I have the saw disassembled and I am about to order a set of Hyway titanium nickel. Hopefully the crankshaft will be ok. It's my favorite saw and I'd love to get advice on that cylinder from Hyway.

How awesome would it be? Seeing this saw ported, and with an updated software for the auto tune as afleetcommand and his friends are fiddling with. But with your skills, I bet this saw can conpeat with the ported 572xp wich Bjarne Butler is running these days🤞
I'm a bit biased though, I've just broken in a a stock 572xpg 2018 prod with a full comp 3/8 0.58 on a 7 rim. It chews everything with ease, and I love that saw.

Cuts great, but seeing others do muffler mods successfully on autotunes….I think I might try to open up the muffler a bit! Thanx for the video!

Every time I see a 70cc class saw ran, I get the itch. I rarely get into truly big wood to warrant breaking out the 394, but often do because it's just so entertaining to run in even moderate sized wood (15-20"). Yes my echo 590 will definitely handle that size wood with ease, but it's definitely not as optimized for the ±20" wood as a 70cc saw is. And often it's faster in that size wood than a 394 due to it making its peak power higher in the rpm scale resulting in higher chain speed. That being said my 8-pin setup on the 394 negates that. But an 18lb saw cutting the same speed as saw at about 23lb will definitely be more enjoyable to run for longer periods. I'm not 18yr old and full of piss and vinegar anymore. Hell, I often run my little muffler modded jonsered 2245 in wood up to about 8-10" just because it weighs 13lb ready to cut, and it's a little screamer.

@@tinmanssaws I grew up in a wood burning household. Two of my brothers and my parents heat their houses with wood. And in my younger years, I'd sold stovewood along with my father and brother. My saws now no longer get anywhere near enough run time to warrant buying more... But I'm always on the lookout for a good deal and have jumped on them hear and there. Like the Husqvarna 50 I got for free from an older fellow who posted it on Facebook marketplace. Said he couldn't get it running and was done messing with it. He had put a new plug in it but couldn't get it started. He had is flooded out terribly. I pulled the plug, dumped out the cylinder, put the plug back in and it still runs just like new. It's not anything special but by God the price was right. Haha

For example My buddies sthil 250 when he started it gave him such a hard time.
Also some saws have a different method or methods to starting them if anything give your manual a go over again if came with one. Or if need be phone up the supplier and have them run u through it again so u can refresh yourself on it.
