I've collected all proof dimes and have every one of them from 1960 to 2013-S. The 1960 isn't a S mint mark but still a proof dime. But I have them all. Have not looked for mint errors but after seeing this video I think I will soon. Thanks for the great video more then a year later. Your a great teacher.

I found a 2014 D dime has vertical and horizontal lines across front looks kinda like stamped

i have a 1965 dime that only weighs 2.02 grams, and around the edge of the outer rim has a sort of gap in it that you can run your fingernail through all the way around, what kind of error dime is this and whats it worth

I have a 1960, "what I call, a cockeyed dime" lol. I haven't seen or heard of one. The obverse and reverse are 10: o'clock 2: o'clock of one another.

My 1960 dime has a crease around the edge like it was doubled when making it
Funny seeing these ddo and ddr seen many like them and seem like you always get told that doubling is flat like and get told it's machine doubling lol

Man before I started looking close at my coins I've probably had 1000's worth of coins go through my hands. 1 time in early 2000's had a quarter with a missing 4th number on date. Had 199 on it. Ended up using it in a payphone... Doggummit. OK with 48G's I would buy a 1995 Fleetwood Cadillac & move to Maine.. Its a car I've always wanted... Take care man

Wish u would say the weight for silver dime in 1965
They stopped making silver dimes in 1964, however there were some errors and some Silver Coins were made after that by mistake. The silver dime, before circulating, weighs 2.50 grams (0.084 ounce). The clad dime, before circulating, weighs 2.27 grams (0.080 ounce).

Just wondering if cleaning is allowed and if so what exact products used and method. Also if I use Cotton qtips dry to clean why does it turn coin rainbow?
Also think of have sacojowia wounded eagle dollar but marks are same but slightly not in exact photo reference online Wondering if there are different wounded eagle types I know about 200 of same type been discovered. Plus the coin was very hard to obtain from the person I was trying to convince to give it to me. It only cost me a dollar but they didn't want to part with it bc of possibility being rare

Only problem is later die stages on these proof dimes won't be that clear-cut on the doubling. And that's what I have trouble with

I recently found a dime you can see the outline of the head their no hair no ears and barely see the mouth its missing the date and liberty it's a D mint mark
It's called a grease error. That's when the mint puts grease on the die to help keep the die from wearing out too fast. Common but still cool. I have a 1999 dime with 95% of the nose is missing and the same happened to the one I have.
