- Hey guys!
So, my latest endeavour is to cover the entire Operation Mindcrime, all guitar parts, the full shebang! Here's I Don't Believe In Love followed by Waiting For 22 - some beautiful guitar work on these tracks, I hope I've done it justice - slide isn't exactly my forte!
I recorded all the guitar parts over the original track using my Axe Fx 2 and Logic X. I put the video together using iMovie. All parts were figured out by ear, I do NOT have tab so don't ask!

Alex Ward I actually watch a lot. Ive seen you cover this album probably 10 - 15 times over. That was a hell of a duo of guitarists there. This work was masterfully written.

Nailed the tele tone! I think the Majesty is a bit high tech for the humbucker part though but the playing is nearly flawless! Weakest was the slide though but we're nitpicking here!

I keep coming back to this video from time to time. Great playing and a great study. These last tracks of Operation Mindcrime are still utterly captivating after 30 years, and one of my best memories of the early 90's. This was Chris DeGarmo's crowning achievement. Thanks for the videos.

Until I see proof otherwise I am just assuming this is Wilton or DeGarmo and just won’t show their face. Based on the solo it would have to be Wilton. I believe he played most of the cool solos? We know DeGarmo was the composer. Am I wrong? Still massive props to Wilton 😀

Stephen Banville Thanks for watching man! Good question, it was def a Friedman HBE for the rhythm and lead, and it was a Marshall 4x12 from Cab Pack 20 by ML Soundlab, most likely captured with 57 - i'm not near my fractal at the mo so hard to be more specific! Hope that helps and thanks again \m/
