The characters were believable. Joe Santos as Sargent Dennis Becker, overworked and stressed. The overbearing, barking, Lieutenant Doug Chapman annoyed at Rockford's presence, expertly played by James Luisi. The time when Dennis almost lost his job. Nothing was handed to the viewer sugar coated on a silver platter with political correctness that we see in modern TV shows. It was raw with believable story lines, characters and set design and portrayed the underside, gritty streets of L.A. in proper fashion. The other aspect worth noting was the television cinematography that always goes unnoticed. Unique camera angles, and assortment of "moment" shots, that don't need to be in the scene but capture he mood and feeling not just the lines. I can only imagine the tremendous time and effort that went into capturing the vehicle chase scenes, the permits, blocking off the streets and how many takes they had to do to get it just right. The show transported the viewer to the time and place of each episode and made one want to actually be there, and for that one hour the viewer was.
Isaac Hayes........Rockfish
I must choose any episode with great character actor Robert Webber since he was my father’s close friend from childhood until my father’s death in 1974.
Robert Webber was amazing !!!!!
@@deeferguson9272 He was a very nice guy too. One time Bob invited dad and our family to a set where they were filming a Streets of San Francisco episode he was in!
Beth. Good grief she was gorgeous. I love her in a bikini on Columbo.
And the "Dark Side" of Rockford is WHAT exactly?!
Shocked that the theme turned out to be non-existent.. HAVE THE COURAGE TO NOT MISREPRESENT THE THEME.. JUST TITLE IT ACCURATELY
Getting us to click on the video, of course.
Stuart "Angel" Margolin, Jimmy...
I loved the show but a couple things that drove me crazy was he would constantly wreck or total his car and then it would be fine by the end of the show. Also he would get beat up all the time by someone he let in his door, why didn't they just put in a peephole ?😮
Lindsey Wagner ❤
