I just got into my masters for BME and I am stuck on which track to take: professional or research. I am leaning towards professional because I feel that it would help me move up in a company and that the pay would be better than research. Do you have any advice?
If your goals are to 1) Move up in industry and 2) Better pay, I think the professional path is the way to go. Also- cool thing to note is that many industries also have R&D departments so you could switch over later in your career. Good luck!

Hey, I would highly suggest getting in touch with some professors who work or research in this field. That’s probably the best route for you to enter into this field based on the fact that you have done some prior courses that are needed!

Soft and hard skills like management, coding and then obviously engineering and biology. It encompasses physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, mechanical, electrical and software engineering.

Hey I wanted to ask, I did not score good marks in 9th and 10th but I am rying hard to get top scores in 11th and 12th, and I have also been working on some personal projects as in extracurriulars, Which in my opinion are great. I wanted to ask that can I still get into any university? if I score good marks in 11th and 12th and if i write good essays, score good marks in SAT and TOEFL. I am really scared?
extracurricular matter more than your marks, you have to give toefl and SATs too

bme combines majority of everything tbh, this is something you will realize when you enter undergrad. For vaccine/medicine, chemistry is very imp.

Hey, I’m currently and undergraduate student in BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING, i was wondering about your insight on gaining experience. I’m trying to develop my SolidWorks and MATLAB skills. What jobs am i looking at?.
You could look into designing medical devices- almost all molecular diagnostic or therapeutic platforms require BMEs with a strong designing background (Solidworks and MATLAB), you'd be working with mechanical & other design engineers but they'd look to you for a fluidics, compatibility expertise. MATLAB is also great if you want to work towards assay optimization (great for a Systems Engineer career in healthcare) or coding (great for a Bioinformatics based career). Good luck!

Biotech in general is more life science focused so you could be exploring agriculture, food or medicine, whereas, BME is strictly healthcare (medical technology & clinical)

You can still apply for undergrad in biomedical, many colleges first two years involves basic classes on Maths, but off-course having some understanding about maths before hand is always helpful!
