- You've already seen a few chippers on our channel, but this time we decided to do it a little differently.
The screw mechanism is easier to make and can be done without a lathe.
I used a 35mm drawn steel roller and 5mm plate sheet.
The pipe has an outer diameter of 160 mm and a wall thickness of approximately 5 mm.
In the video you can see that 4 or 5 cm thick branches are not a problem. I think thicker branches would have been chipped as well, but I didn't want to damage the machine, so I didn't try thicker pieces.
The motor has a power of 3 kW / 4 hp, 1400 rpm. The gearbox reduces the rotation by 7 times, so the shaft rotates at 200 rpm.
I love the contraptions you make. From the bending jigs to the main project and everything in between. Thank you for the video and all the great ideas. 🙂
This is definitely one great machine. Looks like this will be my project for the winter. Job well done fella.
that's one hell of an evil machine!
I love it !
btw, i love your video-format, no endless kindergarten level talking,no music, just good content, super !
cheers ben.
Another friggin cool machine
And I cannot over emphasize how great it is that you actually use the other machines you built in the past to build these new ones!
Riproponiamo il nucleare
E a volte si apprende a volte no
Ho notato che saldate a porte chiuse anche le finestre come mai fa luce la saldatura
Absolutely fantastic. Very well done.
No music, no talking and a whole lot of talent. I love it!
🎉Sw😂,,,,.vvvvvv
Well done 👍
Love to watch your work
You do great work sir! Your skill makes you a credit to your profession, and it will keep your country strong!
Thanks for sharing this build!
Zrobiłeś bardzo potrzebną maszynę dla ludzi.
Twoje projekty są zawsze ciekawe i technicznie kompetentne.
Dziękuję. Powodzenia.
You make such sturdy practical machines! They are AWESOME!
*Well done* as always. Appreciate your time/effort. I hope a business recognizes
the usefulness of one of your builds to partner with you some day. *God bless.*
cea mai eficienta solutie constructiva ! bravo !
This is fantastic! I loved the jig for making the screw part, very clever! It might be worth having an emergency stop button on the front, because of the self-feeding nature of the machine, I would hate to think what would happen if someone got a shirt sleeve or hoodie draw string caught in it.
He needs emergency stop button! 😂
😢😢😢😢😢 на где ее
Your creations never cease to be amazing !
Beautiful Build young Man . I know I will not ever build this ... I don't have the resources, the stamina or even one tenth of your talents.. It's still a pleasure to watch True Innovation and skill. Thank you for producing this and sharing with us all.
That thing is a BEAST!! Great job as always!
That is a very useful machine and so much simpler than I was planning. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
Great job and this is a better build for dealing with branches, the typical shredder usually uses a heavy flywheel with blades attached but using torque instead of speed makes this safer because of how fast the heavy flywheel can pull branches from the hand.
Excellent design. Makes a lot of sense, the shearing effect is much more productive than the flat plane chipper and has less strain on the machine. You guys are so innovative.
Great machine you built. Keep them coming, You gave me an idea as to how to keep a sprocket on a shaft that has no key way. awesome!!
ПРОСТО СУППЕР.
ПРЕКРАСНАЯ РАБОТА.
БРАВО МАСТЕРУ.
👍. 🤝
I like your safety aspect of the shredder. Good job. 👍
amazing job, as always! You make metal works look like you cut butter! Ciao dall'Italia!
Brilliant! Best chipper I have ever seen. 😊
Cool design, great craftsmanship as always!
Es una máquina espectacular!!! Muchísimas gracias por compartir!!! Saludos desde Rosario, Argentina 🇦🇷
Love the way you made the auger!!!! Thanks!!!!!
Awesome, thanks for the upload, from Liverpool UK.
Z niczego jak zawsze zrobisz coś. Świetna maszynka nawet takimi zrębkami można się ogrzać. Tak trzymaj.
A wonderful, creative and distinguished achievement, thank you
Another masterful design and build. Well done!
I like the way you placed the emergency-stop button so it is always easy to reach ;-)
1000× better than anything at Canadian Tire. I used to use my electric mower to come down on piles of light branches. It was sometimes exciting. Had to make my own fun.
Love machines like this, well done. Personally I would like the cutting axel to also have a very heavy flywheel to carry momentum through cutting thicker branches - but at the same time I would have the feed-cone to be slightly longer than a man's arm, and an electric kill-switch (bar) in easy reach of the top of that protective cone. 👍
Threephase motors have enough momentum for this, it is not an combustion enginge which will get stuck.
I strongly agree with the longer cone and protection of the output side and the emergency stop-button.
This here is roughly built like the Vielitz GH-70-K series, and it is rather quiet compared to the other wood chippers with the two or four rotating blades.
Hello, your work is really wonderful, you are one of the best, creative and hardworking
wow, works much better than I expected.
More brilliant the second time I watched it ! Great skills and a great workshop.
Great Design!! Congrats on the implementation and step by step video. Thanks
I like this one quite a lot and I really like that chomper one.
I had once thought about something like this that a person could chunk up bits like this for the fire place. So in theory if you had say 3 plots of the same size land you could grow some of those fast growing trees the kind that you could cut off everything except the bottom foot and they would grow back the next next year. Then you would just grow these in lines and every year at the same time you would come in and harvest how ever many lines you need for the years then chunk up the bits which you can store in meah bins and after a year you would have good seasoned firewood bits which could fill up a whole stove with and or you could use the bits to make activated charcoal which will likely be way better. You could do this with a simple water tower, a cone shape kiln. Its all really simple if you build it to work. After its sumbared in the water you can drain off the water and pump it back to the water tower and add in any extra that is needed for the next batch. Then dump off the charcoal in to another mesh type bin to dry out.
Either way setting up something like this could make a person a bit of money every year.
A lot of cool gadgets you are building over time. Another project well done. 👍👍👍
I wish I could give more than just one like.
Thanks for showing how you made the screw, its a really great way! One day I will make screws for conveyors. Thanks!!!
It's a BEAST!! Great Job!! Beautiful build! 😃
thanks :)
Kolego masz ogromny talent i zdolności. Ale podstawa no oczywiście sprzęt i narzędzia
Very interesting design. I would think that a buildup of hard facing would be beneficial for the auger but, I really like it
Super projekt, pomysłowo jak zawsze. Pozdrowionka i miłej niedzieli.
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho e dedicação e também a prevenção de acidentes é muito bom.
Absolutely brilliant. Congratulations for your very high skills. Best regards.
That is shredder that does its job , nice !
Clever idea overall and clever jig for making the screw. Good job, guys! :-)
Very nice . Its quiet self feeding and just downright nasty to anything being fed in branch and twig wise nice seeing it operated before its covered in paint . Is your plasma torch circle tool home made or shop purchased . Great video thanks
W dzień i w nocy w głowie autora kłębią się pomysły co by tu jeszcze zrobić 😂 kolejny fajny projekt 👍
With your skills you never have to be unemployed, what a nice job you did🤩, I'm impressed, thumbs up.👍
Superb, good design created by a craftsman. All the best.
Uma obra prima de arte, parabéns !!!🤌👏👍
This is greath work and magnifique création. Tanks.
WOW!!!!! That thing is a BEAST!!!! NICE!!!!!
Well done as always. This is a cool design 👍👍

perfect, great job, very good
Молодец. Талант. С такими способностями надо открывать своё производство.
Genius 👌
Well done brother MIP
Amazing project!!, well done!!... another concept for a wood chipper!!! , good idea! greetings from Belgium
Great work !
Flight maker is amazing, very well done
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho. Muito bom mesmo!
Works great. That should be easy to sell with the spring orchard pruning.
Varnished it will look like it was bought in a shop, very good work.
Very, very nice! Clever and original. I'm pretty sure I'm underutilizing my bottle jack. 😸
Wow amazing I love Poland ❤ from India
Excellent! The only thing I would have done different is added a replaceable wear plate inside the housing tube where the screw meets the housing.
It amazes me how you always have a handmade tool for making a part, sometimes handmade part😁 EXCELLENT WORK!!!👍👍
Good work
I like it 👍👍👍
Quite a nice machine. I'm only worried about the longevity of the blade without hardening and tempering that edge. But something I'd use nonetheless.
So use carbide circular saw blades.
Świetnie wyszło, jak zawsze!
Well done job!
great job as always👍
THAT IS FREAKIN AMAZING! 👍😎
Cheers from Spain, cool video.
Your editing and video recording is remarkable. 👏🏻👏🏻👍👍
Damn that things a beast nice build!
That's i good Idea! 👍🏻
I have a little bosch shredder that works that same way. Great little machine.
Excelente Trabajo...
Very inventive project. You gentlemen are amazing.
Muy buen invento. Funciona de maravilla
Thank you
well done
Awesome job, superb engineering skills and tool making for creating the Archimedes screw. Really powerful electric motor considering powering the screw on 1 to 1 gearing.
Making that screw was brilliant. When I saw it at first, I wondered how it would get made. The chain drive looks 1 to 1 but gearbox attached to the motor decreases the output shaft speed and increases the torque.
@@rogermccaslin5963 ah, had not spotted that, thank you for letting me know 👍
Wow, congratulations, vero good job 👏👍🔝🔝🔝
So much quieter than a chipper!
Grandiosa fratello , ottimo lavoro come sempre🤟🏻
Damn, that works pretty good!
МОЛОДЕЦ пан всё добротно для дома лучше и не надо 👍👍👍👍👍
