No exercise brilliant imagin the time saved iv always found pigeon raceing so hard and stressful but you make it sound so simple I repeat brilliant 👏
You can do it! If you master feeding you will realize how easy this game becomes when you realize how little training they actually need to fly weekly at the top.
So much knowledge that you share to take in. Simply brilliant. Thanks Frank.
You are too nice. I am having fun with CZcams. Hope you see the video I published today.
Thanks for the informative video, Frank!
Happy you enjoyed.
Great video as always. A gorgeous set of hens.
Glad you like them! I an excited to see the health and condition.
Good view on the loft and the pigeons
Thanks 👍
Thanks for sharing
They look great 👍
Hope they race like they look.
Great stuff Frank, thanks so much for the info. Good luck for the coming season!
Thanks, you too!
Brilliant Frank, best of luck for the coming season 👍
Hey Sean, Thank you. Much winning from this old ugly pigeon loft. It was ancient when it was given to me. Very simple system that takes very little effort to win. Hope you are doing super!
Great video and system. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Nice work 👏
Thank you so much 😀
looking forward to seeing the results, but they look fantastic!
You and me both! Expect a good year.
Cool video, Frank.
Glad you liked it. Much winning from this old ugly pigeon loft.
they look great
Awesome explanation, as always.
Thank you!
thanks for sharing how your loft looks like we have the same style of perch with a little divider so they cannot see each other so they can relax, i like how you are handling them going all natural and how the loft looks like not all fancy , looking forward for a new video
Thanks for watching! I keep it simple and do much winning from this old pigeon loft. Nothing pretty about it. Birds do not mind one bit.
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons i like how you handles them with a little effort but with so much knowledge of handling them, experience will teach a lot. always thankful of you sharing all this knowledge. i am from the Philippines and i learn so many knowledge from this.
Just to add I'm definitely following this system I know it will take a while to get it right but we pigeon men are patient if nothing else
So simple many do not believe me. Good pigeons, fed correctly and trained some can do amazing things.
great to hear a fancier not using antibiotics etc . but through using simple methods to manage & motivate his team to win consistantly. I was winning races from the age of 16 with this approach 👍
Great to hear this. It can be done and many do not believe it. Going antibiotic free takes a commitment but it is worth it.
Thk U .
I agree that the Pigeons love an All Natural looking loft Better than a Fancy Aesthetically Pleasing One I think it reminds them of those Rocky Cliff Side Ledges that their Wild Counterparts inhabit.
I think we like those beautiful snow white sterile lofts but pigeons can be the happiest nesting in a collapsing card board box. Many new fanciers get discouraged when they do not have or are not able to have the perfect loft like many show on CZcams. I do so much winning from this old ugly loft.
They look absolutely super frank the shine of them
Your right they have a Very Rich Ultraviolet Sheen to them
Thank you. I feel they keep getting stronger year after year of no medications.
The many years of natural health does have such a positive effect. Only the strongest go on to race and breed.
Nice!!!!
Thanks!
Hi frank how are you i like you videos .i have a question,do you use darkering system with old racers?
I do not use any time of darkening or mess with lighting for the old birds. I do not mate them before the season so the molt is very slow.
❤
Did i hear it right?
No loft fly
Then start tossing them for quarter mile up to 35mile for the about 3 weeks till the derby?
I wanna learn more from you frank!
Thumbs up!
You are correct. No loft flying for my old birds all season. I go slow and train them out hopefully 40-45 miles before first race. They then race weekly with two training tosses. Everything done with feeding. Watch this series of videos. czcams.com/play/PLfjpm1Kc9E0UkXcdnfTrnV_VKTkfNozbt.html
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons thanks frank, i really appreciate it.
That Superstar Hen 436 @00:38 Really does make an Impression, What line is she from?
436 is bred from an imported Geerinckx cock mated to a GFL hen Mike gave me to race but she was retired after being hit by a falcon. I am not sure of the mother's breeding. The sire has been a really good breeder.
Frank, I have a question... I am also keeping my race birds locked in until 2-3 weeks before the first race with no loft flying (thanks to the Cooper's hawks). Why do you start them at only 1/4 mile and inch them out since they are all well-trained, experienced racers? Why not go 5 miles, 10 miles, etc.?
With no loft flying they tend to break up even on the shorter tosses. I go slow and it takes a couple weeks before they are coming home in a flock. I would go slow and short because they have not had the opportunity to circle and lock back into the location before training and they were in for 9 months or so.
Do you keep them at dark, from begining of March? Do you used this sistem ?
I have seen others do this ,to prevent ,the first flyght to fall
I do not touch the lights or length of day. They stay on normal day length. I do not pair the pigeons before the race season so most barely drop one of two flights by the end of June.
Before the racing season start. Do you loft fly them? I will start using your system now. Im starting to breed for my next year racing season. For example I breed this month of February and the racing season will start in November to December. During month of March up to end of September, should I loft fly them? And also 1 month before the race I should start training toss them? Can you help me 😊 I race here in the Philippines
I do not loft fly them because I would lose too many to the hawks while loft flying. If you do not have hawk problems you can loft fly them three or four days a week about two months before the races. You can start road training about one month before the race season. I hope to start training about three weeks before the race season but go right from the loft to about 1/4 mile, The body weight must be correct and the birds must be light to do what I do. They will be ready to race from 125 miles with not too much training because of the light body weight.
Thanks Frank for the heads-up. You're really a true winner 🏆. This is a gold for us starters. Keep creating inspiring videos. I will take your advice 🙏 The birds start pairing now. Thank you again 😊
Did you ever have the drawing for the video of people copying your videos...if you did I never noticed
I did have the drawing and made a post and notified the winner. I thought a video of the drawing would be quite boring. Here is the link: czcams.com/users/postUgkxlXOoonkNjfsje0UM02DC39DereRqSJif
Frank what do you think about wearing a mask every time we go to the loft?
I wear a respirator mask every time I step into the loft. I have done this for the last six years. It is best to protect your lungs. Most will never have a problem but some do and it is not worth taking the chance. I wear this mask here. www.amazon.com/RANKSING-insurance-supplies-Reusable-Polishing/dp/B087FCW79Y/ref=sr_1_18?crid=14CTL4MKA2903&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.wjLzTplsPH7Q7xcF7vJrtKvAWYkUUjUWD4mIPRNnHnkRtUPgOk7J6Rw80FEwgR2hqH-0U7Ux7l-hmEnU1LHsfmAy27OPrVaIYKNbikzqLHZtJibwikY5ox3zfrWPhQiZz4DAW3LID2ojBTceawmlES415NWVlo6DyYy1Tu6LCZKQL3e9Cu9iWCyTnkuioK4nPS-jPV-t4tR66hAocBLYR4leT60az2PoVpDsWsZ3qbm4h3fDGpNdUucA8aPxfSQl3ZpH6Ai65vKLs98C9C9-h-GhmZCtEJG_NtIVU3IO1dI.qGqjkd0WJ-_-2TzZvBd3fftpyYU4HjfhuZRrmQ44h1A&dib_tag=se&keywords=respirator+mask+with+filters&qid=1708539009&sprefix=resp%2Caps%2C158&sr=8-18
Hi Frank is it ok to use depurative instead of barley ????
I use Depurative if I can get it or I mix my own using mostly barley. There are some great depurative mixes available.
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons thanks Frank 👍
how would they mate all hens ????
Not sure of the question but some hens mate to each other. Lesbian hens.
Hi frank, i used my hen to breed this season, can i still race them this ob season as celibate hen?
Yes, it might be even better. Race them celibate. It is possible they are less likely to mate with each other after already raised a family. They will be wing molting more than my hens for the first flew flights do not effect racing much.
@@FrankMcLaughlinPigeons awesome! Thanks frank , more power to youre channel cheers!👏👏👏
