Dominick Reyes definitely dominated at the beginning of the fight no doubt about it. People don’t realize Jon jones is such a smart guy he was waiting to tire him out and how he won that fight was leg kicks and take downs everyone thinks Dominick won because he has better shots but total strikes it was clear Jon had the advantage I truly believe Alexander Gustafson was the only man to beat Jon jones. Respectfully I can say that the early 2 rounds were gustafsson however I never see people talking about how Jon Jones began to pick him off with counter punches/kicks and control, it was clearly obvious that the turning point of the fight was when Jon landed a spinning elbow and a tired Alex began to let Jon tee off on him. There were many unanswered low kicks/body kicks and occasional counter punch Alex never returned in moments when Jon saw him tired. 3,4,5 I favoured Jon in nearly all of them.

I loved this fight, the winner of it is moot. The fight itself was the best humanity has had to offer. Two men driven to be the best. A rocky fight that defined this generation of mma. It’s not about the outcome but the product of all the training and sacrifice both men did to make one of if not the greatest fight in mma history. I feel like a lot of people don’t understand, if you don’t beat the champ convincingly (via knockout or 3+ rounds CLEARLY won) then you don’t take the belt, if you go 5 rounds and relatively equal damage is done through the first 3, but the champ clearly wins 4 and 5, the champ wins
