@cdjburton The remix was made 6/7 years after the original. That's one of the reasons the remix is more complicated. I just love the vibe of this original one.
This album reshaped the DnB industry and deserves to be played still to this day. This new cheap hazard type of clown step offends my soul & sounds like it has no soul. Least tracks like this sound if some form of an emotion is behind it, not just sounds & a bassline. 97 was a good year!!!

i guess it all depends when you born. People in their 30's will say late 90's is when the seen changed. And kids that were born in the late 90's prob now say the new stuff is better...........I love this tune though

People were going bonkers to find out what it was. One of the best for crowd reaction IMO. They REALLY don't make em like they used too...

The entire point of "techstep" and music like this is to emphasize the artificial nature of it. There is still jungle/dnb music with a heavy emphasis on sounding more "natural" if that should suit your tastes.
I'd say I wasn't a huge fan of this DnB, I came to a little later, but every time I've seen Ed Rush, Opital and other that fit into this it always worked so welland even the way the play older stuff sounded fresh. Free parties that end on this kind of note are the best, so much energy. Theres something about this music that make police go 'oh fuck it, there not doing any harm'
