    Dave Mackay was manager when Derby won the title in 1975.

    The good old days if the present derby team watched the old derby team on u tube they would definitely learn a lot

    Derby under the great Brian Clough were fantastically good. He was the best manager EVER and what a great shame he was lost to football too early.

      He said the 1972 Derby side was the best he managed ... ofc he should have managed England we might actually have won something.

      @@stevenwilkinson1265 Your so right Steve but he was not politically correct and said all the wrong things to the F.A .They prefer meak n mild yes manager's to manage England?...One of Brian s strong points was his character plus he selected players by who was right for each match and not by name also he was in charge and ran the club from top to bottom. Another strong point was his command of discipline All players at to wear a suit shirt n tie plus neat hair cut n clean shaven when travelling to a match or training etc..You don't see this today and their Ego s are to big today too n have no respect for the manager or fans ...Glynn n Greetings from Stourbridge West Midlands

      Peter Taylor’s contribution has largely been forgotten. Which is a great shame.

    Brian Clough, Joe mercer, Bill shankly etc..... Great managers of a bygone era.......

  • @Berkcam
    @Berkcam Před 3 lety +6

    At that time England had a team of 'terrifc 'bad boys' the FA ignored; Clough, Bowles, Shilton, George, Hudson etc

    Won the league with Nottingham forest and the European cup twice and won the league with derby county and really should have won the European cup with them if not for a lot of injuries to key players in the semi final

    It would be worth paying double for a ticket to see him taking on Klopp, Quardiola, et al. As they have always said the best English manager England never had. Put a championship winning team together for peanuts. Doubt you will ever see that again.

    Who were the Rams playing (green shirts, red shorts, yellow socks) while Brian was talking about whispering to the master crosser Alan Hinton ? Surely it wasn't Cameroon !

    Not taking anything away from the rams but if 3 points for a win was implemented from the start, it would mean Ipswich Town would be Champions in 1975..not Derby.
