Catholicism is a religion. Jesus is our SAVIOR and the ONLY One who can give us eternal life. Mary the earthly mother of Jesus, or the dead saints did NOT go to the cross on Mt. Calvary in our place. JESUS did, and He rose from the dead, conquering sin and eternal death, once and for all, IF we confess our sins and fully surrender to His glorious lordship through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the eternal Living WORD of God.
John 1:1-14
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made.
4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.

14 And the Word (JESUS) was made flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Catholics get that part wrong. Why go to confession when you can appeal to the Creator of all directly? Why call a man "father" when the Bible forbids it?

He gave us the church and priests to take care of all these things. Of course He forgives us the second we feel remorse but we must do as we are told and obey His church. The church is the pillar of the faith (timothy). Remember when the Lord said to the apostles : "whom you shall forgive their sins, shall they be forgiven. Whom you keep them, shall they be kept". Gods ways are not our ways

Everything that was said sounds great. Sylvester needs a personal relationship with Jesus. When The Holy Spirit is guiding you, you find that you are never the same. He affects the way you live,act, think, and speak. The parts he plays are completely opposite of a person that is a follower of Jesus. I pray for you, Sylvester. Being a good catholic doesn't mean you are saved and on your way to heaven.Ask Jesus to forgive you and save you from having to pay for your sins. He will and you can work at building a personal relationship with The King of Kings. Please do this so you can experience God's amazing grace! Love you, always have.
What testimony? The Catholic church can't save you! It was more of a story of coming to faith in a man-made institution. Catholics are taught that faith in Jesus and faith in the church are one and the same. I have known Catholics who are saved, but most of them that I have met are counting on the church to save them and not Jesus Christ.
You have to accept Jesus personal and you cannot pray to Mary very touching try the church of christ in your vicinity you will get the blue print of the gospel of Jesus christ

Rocky has always been my favorite movie because of its profound inspiration. I grew up in the Catholic Church and went to catholic school, but after eighth grade I ran away from the church. Fourteen years later I returned. Now I don’t go to church regularly because I don’t get anything out of rituals. I get everything out of BBN ( Bible Broadcast Network) on my radio in my area and you can download the app on your IPhone or tablet. I read the Bible in a years time and am starting again on my ninth year. The Word of GOD (Bible) is important in everyday living. I cannot and will not live without GOD’s word and direction and love and forgiveness and mercy. Amen 😊

2) Commune with God in Prayer
3) Study the Bible to live according to it
