  • This is a continuation of the day we installed the clutch. We keep the party going with a Cliqtuning shifter install, some bleeding of the clutch, and diagnose a noise we are getting in the clutch area. Also my neighbor needed a jump, so we helped her out. AND MORE BANTER at the end.

    Yo chelsea, loving the vids. how would you go about improving steering feel on a 46 and a 39? can you increase castor enough with topmounts and extended lower arms to overcome the overly strong power steering? ive deleted the powersteering on one of mine but have yet to drive it. thanks dude.🤘🤘

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  Před 6 lety +1

      I would definitely put the PS back on. No reason to ever remove that when drifting.
      The biggest thing on the E36's is getting a linear rack in the car. A lot of them are progressive. You can also take some preload off the rack, but thats fairly complicated.
      Best option is to get some offset FCABs that are more firm. And add some angle for a faster turn in.

    • @Its_PieRat
      @Its_PieRat Před 6 lety

      Chelsea DeNofa only reason ive deleted it is for simplicity as ive swapped in a 1GFE that im going to turbocharge. i will try it without and see how it goes lol.
      Yeah shorter knuckles will help but they didnt make much difference on my soarer 🤣

    • @imnota
      @imnota Před 6 lety

      Get a z3 rack, it's linear. How are your steering shaft joints ? If they aren't an actual metal joint, get a kit with metal joint, because the ones with a rubber bushing are trash.

    The mysterious disappearance of the Evil Empire hat is, frankly, concerning... Also, how did you like Frankie (the supra that you drifted in Minsk, not the one you had to run for the qualification)?

      +Alex N the car was awesome, I love mk3 and mk4’s. That car was super light!

    Is there an adj on the clutch pedal?

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  Před 6 lety +1

      Not really. There is, but your not supposed to adjust it.

    • @DoWutNow
      @DoWutNow Před 6 lety

      Chelsea DeNofa i had clutches go bad because the throughout bearing never released. I adjusted where the pedal engages the clutch master and had better engagement and no more burning up throughout bearings destroying clutches. You know BMWs waaaaay better than I. Just throwing it out there. Cheers!

    Have you ever done an auto to 5 speed swap on e36

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  Před 6 lety +1

      Yea man. Easy, just make sure you have all the parts before hand. Best to just but a manual car with a blown motor. Swap it all, then sell whats left.

    Super short throw shifters suck, i don't know why people torture themselves with a shifter that moves .5 of an inch.. Stock throw ftw.

    • @chelseadenofa
      @chelseadenofa  Před 6 lety +2

      I totally agree with this statement. The chassis mount adjustable ones are nice tho because mine has just a little shorter than stock throw, but a ton less slop, and a better shifter location. Its higher up and gets rid of a moving piece that can fail.
