- How I made polymer clay (FIMO) handles for my crochet hooks.
I decided to make them in different styles to show different techniques that can be achieved with polymer clay: metal leaf, gemstone embedding, wood and jade imitations, as well as some fish tail sculpting.

MATERIALS I USED
- FIMO polymer clay
- Acrylic paints
- UV Resin
- Gemstones, millefiori shapes, glitter
- Metal leaf
The sanding and polishing were done with wet sand paper and a piece of batting.

Wowwww beautiful!!! I love the black and gold one!
Thank you !
Lovely Sophie. I wonder if you could use one of these ideas to jazz up part of the handles of reading glasses.( not the part that goes over your ear but the piece in front. I have tons of reading glasses that could use a bit of jazzing up. ❤
That's a great idea! It would only be possible on metal only frames, though. If they have any plastic on them, the heat of the oven might damage, bend or even melt it. Ideally, it might be best to make embellishments seperately, and glue them onto the frame after baking.
The black and gold is my favorite 🙂
I love the green and gold one!
Thank you! That's my second favourite ;)
Bien jolis tes crochets qu'elle délicatesse ! Bravo et bonne continuation ...
Thank you for the beautiful inspiration. What is that tool you use to stamp the hook size?
Thank you !
That tool is an alphabet stamp set, specially made for use on polymer clay. Each stamp is a letter, a number or a symbol, and can slide onto the pink piece, which ensures the spacing between the letters, numbers and symbols is uniform and the text is nice and straight.
