Dominar is a fantastic motorcycle..
Well built with spot on features. You can consider this for your secondary option (Karizma ka replacement).
184kgs kerb weight. ABS kicks in at 5kmph. Cannot be switched off. The best position for rear suspension is 3rd out of seven positions, my chotu experience
It is a reliable motorcycle. I did Mumbai-Ladakh-Mumbai on a dominar and the bike performed really well. No breakdowns no punctures. The maximum fuel efficiency I received was 42 kmpl. I got the tank range of over 400kms. Powerful Reliable and Efficient motorcycle.

I own a Dominar 400 2017 model and have completed 50k kms on it and so far the experience has been very good. It is very stable on highway and can handle medium off roading. The brakes are good and you can depend on it for quick/emergency breaking. Riding position is the best and I don't feel tired at all after long rides. Only thing is that the stock seat is little hard but very comfortable when compared with KTM seats which is like sitting on a rock. Modify the seat by adding 1 inch seat foam for less than 600Rs and you can do 1000kms in a day. easily.

@@shashankmallamraju4271For 500 kms+ride the seats can be hard and can hurt your ass. But the stock seat is still better than the competition. Only thing needed is that you need to modify both the seats and increase the seat foam by an inch and you can complete long journey in it.. It took me rs.600 to get it done. I have completed 50k kms on this bike in 4 years and I have done 1000 kms long trip and it did great. Breaks are just fine and it can come handy in emergency. I don't see any problem.

Sriman bhai bajaj Dominar has one of the best led headlights in India right now...but the fact is all led headlights become useless wen the road becomes pitch-black during or after medium or heavy rainfall incomparo to halogen lamps... Try the dominar once in night during a dry weather
Fuel gauge is reliable bro, I just have experience of about 3500kms plus of touring in nine weeks of purchase. The brakes become better after a little worn out. I have done very wet conditions in chikmaglur and yercaud
6th gear 40kmph is too much for the dominar
Sriman doesn't have enough knowledge about the smaller bikes i guess.
Idle rpm of the dominar and duke is 2000 rpm.
Riding small displacement bike in high gears at low rpm is not good at all since they aren't 600 and above cc monsters with loads of torque
White Magnet he should be a fool to ride a bike in 6th gear 40kmph. Who the hell does that lol.. butttt... it's just to put the bike to test. Was jus curious to see how low can it go before it knocks. Also, u r correct, I don't have enough knowledge about bikes. Not me none of us have. But for sure i know that even 600cc or 1000cc bikes knock at 40kmph in low rpm.

I think this particular bike has braking problem...generally the brakes are really good on dominar...and the LEDs are powerful enough in general...
LED light are powerful bro.
But problem start with halogen lights no mater how well the LEDs are high beam of a halogen lamp will create a mess

This Motorcycle is much better than karizma in everything. Can't even compare the two. The only reason karizma was a hit because there was no other Motorcycle in the market. Once Bajaj came out with pulsar 200dtsi and 220dtsi karizma sales went down quickly.
Domi is too good a bike, when i first test rode it i could not believe...that was the level of craziness of that bike, amazing siiting position, great power and looks good too, overall for 2 lac price this is the best thing you can buy!

Bajaj has made a very good bike... reliability n all is good but in most parts of this country Bajaj after sales are worst that you will not vist even once after you see their service. The only point where bajaj needs to improve a lot (after sales). Nothing else

Actually the Breaks on dominar are really good brother, i think that particular bike had some problem. You should actually test ride one from the show room and i feel this can be your secondary bike. You should try..!
