Taeyeon is still the official and overall leader. Its just that, they have now a "shared responsibility". Instead of Taeyeon doing all the work, she now has an "acting leader" on behalf of her-for a certain period. In this way, she will not be "burden" doing alone all the leader tasks in SNSD while being busy also with her solo career. She has a crazy schedule for sure and having an acting leader on behalf of her in snsd will help her.
Its good. Who knows, its Taeyeon who initiate this. What a good leader she is, sharing her responsibilities with others and nurturing others to be a good people manager as well. 🥰

Taeyeon never wanted to be leader anyway. She already stepped down from that position once.
SM always promotes the oldest while other companies promote either the one who had the longest training time (Taeyeons was really short she was one of the last members to join SM only Sunny and if I remember right Seohyun came later) or does suit the position the best.
She still is a great leader though. And she will be the official leader forever anyway.

And yep, true, Taeyeon did not like at first to be the leader.. because.. pressure. 😨😰 But she accepted her fate and did her best wholeheartedly. That's actually an INFJ personality. An INFJ doesn't like too much attention. They don't like to be in front coz they like to lead people from behind. But INFJ (Taeyeon's MBTI) are one of the best personality to lead/manage a group of people.
They like to do work behind the camera because they are shy to be in in the front. But INFJ is a very good leader because of their compassion and high empathy towards others. They are organize, creative, a perfectionist. For me, Taeyeon fits the role perfectly. Im saying this not because she is already the leader, but because I am a Psychology major, and the INFJ is a leader with a very big compassionate heart.

Also: Tae was REALLY busy during the whole preparation for the album and the comeback with her personal schedules sharing the responsibility helped her a lot.
As far as I know they've decided anything by voting since Taeyeon stepped down the first time, she only has the final word if there is no agreement and she always get the microphone :D

Yoona grew up so well, and it's great that they adapt this method for this comeback. Taeyeon was so busy with a lot of schedules, imagine if she was still the only leader for this comeback. The stress level would be way too high
just wanna clarify...taeyeon is still the leader of snsd....for this comeback...they adapted a rotational leader system....so tht all the burden doesnt go to just one person...and taeyeon was also very busy with got the best and invu and nolto....so its just a system for this comeback...taeyeon will forever be snsd leader

before people start jumping to conclusions, taeyeon is not SNSD's ex leader. she said that because for this comeback they're having a rotational system and are all taking responsibility for their own schedules. so, she's still their leader, but for this comeback they adopted this special system

Idk why people debating on this topic. At the end of the day, the girls knows the real Leader and the fans knows. It’s just a little project experiment they’re doing for this comeback. Maybe cause TaeYeon understands that they’re all grown women who knows how to think and voice their opinion. So she probably wants every member a chance to speak up instead of her always making the final decision
i remember wonder girls did that too on their last comebacks as a band. they threw rock/paper/scissors to decide who “leads” that day or sometimes just rotated. older groups just naturally adopt this relaxed attitude, it’s lovely to see how casual they approach it. now i miss wg, hope they do a reunion like snsd

@@sru_0503 at one point she confirmed that she didnt like being the leader. She said in one of her interviews but the girls encouraged her so she fully accepted the role. But since the group has members who are all independent and strong, they can all lead the group if given a chance. Thats why taeyeon is okay with other members being the leader of their comeback or sub units..

She didn't "get demoted", the other members were helping out by taking on organisational work. I think the rest of the members respect taeyeon a lot and understand she's got a lot on her plate

How it was hard for her so they took it off her plate etc. No one on kpop does that to their leader only her and in their 15th year they say the same. Man so ungrateful for what she did in their hiatus.
