On this month's episode of Side by Side by Susan Blackwell, our fabulous hostess spends an afternoon in the stacks of New York's legendary Strand Books with Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz, now starring on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can. The conversation veers down several unforgettable alleys. Why did Butz's childhood room spell like Fritos? What did sushi victim Jeremy Piven leave behind in his Speed-the-Plow dressing room? And just how good did Butz's butt look in the white tights he sported as Fiyero in the original cast of Wicked? Kick back and spend some time with Susan and the man who grew up as Borbert Nutz. - Zábava
"I like the faintest whisper of a finger."
That's beautiful, Norbert Leo Butz.
I'm going to get that as a tattoo.
i love norbsie's cackle...i love him...
he just seems so sweet, humble and cool. i love him
'all due respect Mrs Butz'
Not gonna lie I'm thinking about buying that book, I need to be in on this
"Who doesn't love a bookstore?"
"Illiterate people?"
That book's pictures are gonna be in my head ... forever ...
I am in love with this man. And this woman.
Yay to Norbots! Honestly, that man could sing me the telephone directory and I would die happy
"I love the faintest whisper of a finger"
.... I can do that!!!
I haven't laughed as hard at anything in a while! Susan always makes me laugh but this was way beyond - and I'll just go ahead and say it: I love Borbert Nutz! LOL
I love when Norbert had a Wicked book out xD
Haha, I love Norbert. He's so unabashedly hilarious. And Susan Blackwell just kicks ass.
I've watched this video a million times and I just noticed -- and now can't unsee -- what a solidly different color norbert's arms and hands are from his face... 0.o
5:31 He’s holding the Wicked book 🥹
imagine being in a bookstore and just hearing norbert leo butz and susan blackwell talking.
This is the best Side by Side ever. I'm dying
nothing makes me happier than seeing that a new "Side by Side" has been uploaded
I could watch this all day
Very fun. He looks so happy when he sings.
I was just listening to TOS earlier today too. Love you Susan!
this...is fantastic.
THAT'S A LOT OF POLLYPS. Best line.
I love Norbert Leo Butz.
Delightful!
I SAS EATING FRITOS WHILE WATCHING THIS OMG
This has made my year. But what was the Wicked Grimmerie doing on his lap? I want to know how that transpired.
I want Norbert to read goodnight moon to me!
09:35 OMG it's the Fiyero from OBCR :D I know I KNOW it's him, but the moment he started singing, I was like HOLY CRAP it's DAT VOICE :D
Catch Me if You Can was such a good show and was gone too early.
this entire episode just proves to me that even the greatest and most respected broadway stars are all still 9 year olds. :)
Susan Blackwell is beautiful.
GOODNIGHT MOON!!!!!
"what's his name? jeremy?"
"piven."
"thank you."
HAHAHAHAHAHA
luv him
(dredful teee shirt
she talks mo than her guest))))
Goodnight Moon!! :)
2:30 HAHA
I am a Norbot.
I have 9 siblings and I can name them all in a row too
Poor Norbert didn't get Susan Blackwell'd. He must feel so left out.
@charliethegent He most certainly did. You must not have listened very closely. It's near the end of the list.
I want Mr. Norbert Leo Butz to read me Good Night Moon!
I want him to read me surgery of the anus rectum and colon
omifuckinggod. in love with both of them.
"I like the faintest whisper of a finger..." lol wut?
So I went on Amazon.com to try and find the book that they are reading. A new copy (of the two-volume set) costs 700 bucks! I used copy can be had for the bargain price of $195. Susan and Norbert have expensive tastes in literature!
iff hr has a son he should name him seymour!!!!
the book behind them says "single mothers"
Who disliked this video?
Wouldn't Susan Blackwell make a swell mother? I wish she was my mother.
I feel jipped that there was no face-lick situation
suckit
Does anyone else find it amusing that they're in front of all the AIDS books?
