Great info Dave!
Thanks!
The biggest key with Mic’s are to have a Proper cover to help protect against the snow and water
exactly that is why we make a custom neoprene cover!
Main thing I've noticed is a lot of BCA users use sub channels. I carry the cheat sheet with me of the sub freq's and I program mine to the channel easily.
Yes but there is actually no point to do that, they are not private and if one group is on channel 4 and one group on channel 4-20 , it is true you wont hear each other but the signals are interrupted. And it is easy to put the baofeng into frequency mode and add the sub channel
Do you sell the mic's separately? Best radios around
Yes I do, dave@davenorona.com if you want one
I’d like to purchase a radio kit, however I cannot find your website.
send me an email dave@davenorona.com cheers dave
I'm in Montana, how do I get in touch if I wanted to order a radio? Thanks!
dave@davenorona.com email or facebook David Norona and or instagram @davenorona
Where can I get info on programming one of these?
we program them already , if yu go out on your own, your on your own to program it, cheers dave
Due to Daves really helpful answer I'll give a lil ski pull.
You need the programming cable $10 overnight from Prime.
You need the Chirp Software free DL available for Mac/PC/Linux.
You need the frequencies which are listed in various places online. I think there is a useful Snowest thread posted in the comments here. You then batch upload them to the radio via Chirp using the cable.
I assume there is some reticence to parlay this info due to FCC rules. Its up to you to discover if you need some licensing or clearance to do that where you live or use these radios.
Do you need a license for an 8 watt radio?
the only one who will say you do is the guy who just got his licence...its about being smart on the radio and using it properly and not using professional channels , much like channel 16 on the ocean, if you do the coast guard will tell you to immediately get off , if you don't they will find you. Safety trumps all
How can I order this item Dave

Don’t lie saying that you never had any problems with 8000 units you have sold we all know that’s a crock of shit we will all understand If you have a few problems like we know there is but saying you have no problems not true
sorry don't lie, I have not sold 8000 units but a lot, and I have definitely had a few mics come back, which I use, its why I do the vids as a lot of error is user error so my job is to help guys keep it simple and that they do work. It is why we only sell one system that we bring in. I have guys also erase the channels , but easy fix to send back and reload, there is a charge and it is a hassle to have them send back their radio, but we get it done. cheers dave
