Me to!!! I even sing it to my 4yr old daughter constantly. Except I replace the name pepper Ann with my daughters name. I don’t know why this is just one of those theme songs that will stick in your head no matter how many years it’s been.
I am belgian and I have the french version in my head ! I remember I watched this when I was a kid...I remember reproducing the scene at the beginning, using a towel instead of the arrow ^^
I actually got grounded for sing this over and over and getting it stuck in my mom's head. I'm an adult now and still get threatened with punishment when singing the first sentence, because if I finish the beginning, my mom will burst out singing it for a week or two, sometimes in public!
Had to look it up to be sure, but the guy who created Codename: Kids Next Door was the character designer for Pepper Ann. Without a doubt, the 90s and early 2000s had the best cartoons. They were serious and funny, without being disgusting or adult.
Agreed! The song is fun to play on guitar. Also fun to sing along with. or just make guitar solos ... or just busk it in coffee shops.... I wish this show would come back.
I forgot to add, Kathleen Wilhoite who voices Pepper Ann is "deliberately" singing off key in her speaking voice. In real life she's an amazing country singer. You should hear her recording of "Miles Away From Home" that she recorded.
This was NOT recommended to you. You randomly thought of this song out of nowhere and wanted a nostalgic serotonin boost and there were no regrets after watching this video
after the first 5 episodes that she found a 5$ bill under her desk every episode following had something new right there, like a mood ring, tampon etc.
I don't have a single memory of the show, but upon hearing "pepper ann" I was sure I knew the chorus to the theme song...and yes I confirmed my suspicion upon arriving at this video
This show has aged super well and it was ahead of its time but still has all of its 90s Glory. I just finished this on Disney apparently I've watched more of it than I remembered. Back in the day it was something to marvel if you completed a whole series waking up early in the morning and watching one or two episodes at a time.
Yup. All the teens are tall and lanky, with skinny limbs and large hands/feet. You can definitely tell Matt Braly's style is heavily influenced by Tom Warburton. Pepper Ann was a bit before my time, but I did grow up with Codename; Kids Next Door. It blew my mind when I realized where Braly got his style from. How could I not see it before?
I was singing this at work about 10 minutes ago. (12-15-20) "Pepper anne pepper something something something pepper anne she's like one in a mill-YON. Pepper anne pepper anne something cool for 7th grade no one's cooler than pepper anne, she's her own biggest fan. Pepper anne." I remembered the melody but definitely forgot most of the lyrics
Well... let me relive some of the best tines of my life! Music was cool, playing outside, being weird with your friends, watching cartoons after-school... ***sighs*** life was so much simpler then.
Dang. A blast from the past. I recall watching this. Obviously the theme was at the forefront. Thanks NicoB for reminding me of this. I wish my brain had more storage space for memories.
Who’s that girl? What’s her name? Is she cool? Is she lame? Oh, you’re talkin’ ’bout what’s-her-name - Pepper Ann! Is she lame? Is she cool? Is she breakin’ every rule? Is she anybody’s fool? Pepper Ann! Pepper Ann, Pepper Ann, marchin’ in her own parade. Pepper Ann, she’s like one in a million! Pepper Ann, Pepper Ann, much too cool for seventh grade. Catch ‘er if you can, Pepper Ann! "Who? Is that that girl from gym class?" "No, that’s me." "Ewwww... Who is she and why does she have her own song?" "Did someone take my lunch?" Pepper Ann, Pepper Ann, marchin’ in her own parade. Pepper Ann, she’s like one in a million! Pepper Ann, Pepper Ann, much too cool for seventh grade. No one’s cooler than Pepper Ann! She’s her own biggest fan, Pepper Ann! Catch ‘er if you can, Pepper Ann!
Oh my goodness! I miss this show so much. I still remember the scene where someone told her something and she spit chocolate chips around her sister against the wall like they were bullets. Lol! Pepper Ann always had the best reactions
🙋 this was cool and totally awesome as well. This pepper Ann should have stayed on a lot longer than it did, This truly was worth watching and all that as well. I guess some shows were not meant to be on that long, which is a shame because I actually enjoyed watching this back then.
Out of Nowhere ‼️this theme song popped in my head 😆and of course leave it to CZcams to have it available to flood in my childhood memories…. I missed the innocent good times. I was about 12 when this cartoon came out and 37 now. Now I have to find Bobby’s World and Mighty Max theme songs😂
@Disney @disneyplus yo, let's make a Pepper Ann live action movie! #Disney #DisneyPlus #PepperAnn #liveaction #liveactionmovie #PepperAnnLiveActionMovie #WhySheHasHerOwnThemeSong
Looked up Bebe Neuwirth's filmography. Found this show in it. I literally forgot everything about the show except the theme. I was 7 when this show ended, but that theme song is just so catchy it stuck with me.
This song literally just popped up in my head randomly and I remembered all the great cartoons I used to watch. Loved this song & show!
Yo same lol
Same!! Lol
literally just happened to me and i looked it up lol
I never watched this show or Disney channel and I know this song for some reason
Guilty, as this is the reason why I just had to listen to this theme song one more time! Old time Disney Classic!
She’s that one in a milliON!!!!
Never have I heard a more hyped syllable.
PUNK ROCK
That has always been my favorite part! ♥️
@@cardigansarecool PURE PUNK ROCK!!!!
PEPPER ANNE MUCH TO COOL FOR SEVENTH GRADE
This intro is the pinnacle of 90s pop culture and I love it for that.
One of the greatest TV theme songs of all time. I love when Kathleen hits the gritty high note.
Yeah, she sounds so cool at that part!
This song has popped into my head randomly for years so i finally decided to just look it. Oh the nostalgia.
2021 and still have this theme song in my head once a month. I miss you 90s!!!!!!
Lol idk where it comes from
Me to!!! I even sing it to my 4yr old daughter constantly. Except I replace the name pepper Ann with my daughters name. I don’t know why this is just one of those theme songs that will stick in your head no matter how many years it’s been.
Anytime someone asks me to pass the pepper I start singing it! 😆
Lol not gonna lie I always randomly hum the intro sometimes.
I am belgian and I have the french version in my head ! I remember I watched this when I was a kid...I remember reproducing the scene at the beginning, using a towel instead of the arrow ^^
I actually got grounded for sing this over and over and getting it stuck in my mom's head.
I'm an adult now and still get threatened with punishment when singing the first sentence, because if I finish the beginning, my mom will burst out singing it for a week or two, sometimes in public!
that sounds overly harsh
Hahaha! I was gonna like this, but you're at 69 and I don't wanna ruin it. So 👍🏽
lmao I'm not allowed to sing Clint Eastwood by the Gorillaz around my mom for basically the same reason xD
🤣🤣🤣
@@rayze1984 welp, it's already been ruined so you can like now lmao
Had to look it up to be sure, but the guy who created Codename: Kids Next Door was the character designer for Pepper Ann.
Without a doubt, the 90s and early 2000s had the best cartoons. They were serious and funny, without being disgusting or adult.
I’ve been singing the theme song all day. Man the late 90’s and early 2000’s were great!
This show was dope for its time on TV
This is one of those shows I never got around to watching, but the theme song is stuck in my head so firmly.
Disney + finally added the complete series recently. Now we just need The Weekenders and Aladdin TAS.
We already have The Weekenders on Disney+
anything “Alladin” is dookie…
idk why they even called it alladin, shoulda been called the dookie show to better represent it & clear up any confusion
Don’t forget RECESS
And you should also add Lloyd in Space, Buzz on Maggie, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
This literally came into my head last night .., I -
This came into my head just now lol
This comes into my head so often... and I havent seen the show since it was on tv
Same! Lol
Agreed! The song is fun to play on guitar. Also fun to sing along with. or just make guitar solos ... or just busk it in coffee shops.... I wish this show would come back.
Lol this song is so fly man.
2022 and still love this! Wish I could go back in time and wake up to this on the weekend.
I love how they got someone who isn't the best singer to do the theme song lol, it fits with the show super well.
That someone is "Pepper Ann" herself singing her own theme song.
I forgot to add, Kathleen Wilhoite who voices Pepper Ann is "deliberately" singing off key in her speaking voice. In real life she's an amazing country singer. You should hear her recording of "Miles Away From Home" that she recorded.
I thinks she sounds good.
For some reason I imagined her like some western tomboy badass - heh, seems I wasnt far away after I learned this
I’m so glad I had this as a kid
This was NOT recommended to you. You randomly thought of this song out of nowhere and wanted a nostalgic serotonin boost and there were no regrets after watching this video
DISNEY PLUS FINALLY!!!! got Pepper Ann
And Rolie Polie Olie
She's that one in a millIONNNNNNN
This literally screams 90s
Still a banger though
Now she made a cameo on Amphibia's latest trailer.
What's this about "though"?
@@ryarod That's exactly what I was thinking, it's like he's saying that something 90s is normally bad...
Legit song a punk band needs to cover this “ I’m sure some have “
Who's visiting this after finding out she will be on Disney+?
_”is that the girl from gym class!? No that’s me....ewwee”_
lol 😂 I don’t even want to know
The “Did someone take my lunch?” killed me. 😂
Why a titanic reference ice berg dead ahead near the end?
after the first 5 episodes that she found a 5$ bill under her desk every episode following had something new right there, like a mood ring, tampon etc.
The greatest thing about this entire series is the theme songs emphasis on one in a milliON!
I remembered this, having seen it just once ever. The power of the earworm
I don't have a single memory of the show, but upon hearing "pepper ann" I was sure I knew the chorus to the theme song...and yes I confirmed my suspicion upon arriving at this video

I just finished this on Disney apparently I've watched more of it than I remembered.
Back in the day it was something to marvel if you completed a whole series waking up early in the morning and watching one or two episodes at a time.
There are so many cartoons that I remember existing, yet I never remember what happens in them.
If there is a Disney periscope present, please know this show is sorely missed! WE LOVE PEPPER-ANN!
Its on there now
Im watching it now at 4 in the morning 😅
You can see the influence this show had on Amphibia's character design.
I dont remember this show because I never watched it. But so glad its coming to Disney+!
How about Rolie Polie Olie?
Dude it’s actually a fun series you’ll dig streaming it. A sleeper hit of a cartoon, you’d never change the channel once this song played
I barely remember this show and the song is catchy. Pepper ann will be on Disney + next month 😀
When you was younger?

0:00-0:02 I think this is where 4Kids got the idea for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) theme.
Sounds about right
