#LasVegas - ZĂĄbava
Before arriving, we never intended on doing a bad review. This just ended up being our experience. At one point there was even people sleeping in the hallway next to the door to our room. We let the front desk know about the issues at check out and they ended up waiving our resort fee.
@travel ruby how do you get that beautiful glow to your cheeks and face? is it a certain beauty product?
@@nancyanderson2032 I noticed that too! (Almost didn't recognize her)
ayy at least no resort fees
Nothing I love more than episodes of total sh*t holes! Thanks, very entertaining!
@@nancyanderson2032 Very pretty girl!
As a Las Vegas housekeeper, I am embarrassed for the housekeeping team that they considered that an acceptable state for a room, especially a check-in.
At which hotel because looks as dirty as every room in vegas... alot more shit is broke but cleaning about same
Yes! PLEASE tell us what is going on with the housekeeping situation in Las Vegas casinos from your "boots on the ground" perspective. It seems there is no quality control, at all, in regard to housekeeping. Is it just a shortage of manpower, or is it that nobody really wants to work anymore?
@@CrawfishBoil housekeepers are expected to clean rooms in a very short amount of time for very little money. Almost all housekeepers on the strip work on an on-call basis, meaning they need to be ready to work any time, day or night. Or they need to be ready to not be called in for a month (or more) at a time. They continuously hire on new employees, give them very little training, and then donât even call them in for shifts. Getting any sort of consistent schedule requires you to be a dedicated employee for several years. So yeah the turnover is insane and the workers are tired. Anyway I quit that job a while ago đ I had a PTSD episode at work and never went back. Fuck that
â@@desireemack5509yea im assuming Oyo is seriously underpaying their cleaning staff and keeping them seriously understaffed
Highly respect your job @desireemack5509, especially after tragedy a few years ago (having to be aware of what's in rooms...) Appreciate your comments
OYO is a good Uber hack. Instead of a $30 ride from MGM to my destination, I crossed the road and got the same distance from OYO for $10!
Nice pro tip thank you
Very nice tip everyone!
Damn ty. I will use this

Thank you for actually posting a negative review! It seems like people are afraid to be honest and offend people.
IN DAT ORDAAAAAAA! đšđŸââïž
So glad you guys got out of there in one piece! It sounds absolutely abysmal.
I've watched a ton of Las Vegas reviews (yours and others) and I maintain that your reviews are as fair as they can possibly be. You and Mr. Ruby are solid. You're not mean and you never ever seem to "attack a place" for hits or likes or anything like that.
I knew we were in trouble when they did not have in-room coffee for you, young lady. From there, it was all downhill. Here is to hoping your next stay is absolutely stellar!
This hotel has been a dump since it opened as a Howard Johnsons! Then it became The Treasury, sometimes called The Trashery, then San Remo, then Hooters and now OYO. Still a dump to be avoided. Thank you for taking one for the team.
Howard Johnson. Yikes!
@@bustercam199 yeah it's like 50 years old and also why the gaming floor is so small.
I believe Vince McMahon wanted to buy it and make it a wrestling casino at some point as well.
@@bustercam199 also known as Ho Jo
It was a nice hotel from 1989-1995 when it was the San Remo.
Hey Ruby, thanks for enduring these travel nightmares so we can steer clear of these disasters. And yes, it was very entertaining in a bizarre sort of way, lol!
I think bad reviews are every bit as useful as good reviews. Thanks ! What a dump ! Problems everywhere ! Ruby, we all really appreciate this review, so we don't spoil our time in Vegas by staying at bad places like these.
Wow, that just saved my vacation from being ruined. Youâre a lifesaver Ruby!!!! I was going to try it out in August since itâs close to the airport and the monorail. Hard no immediately after seeing you get stuck in the elevator. Love your videos!!!
i love how ruby doesnt complain and stays really calm about it. im a subscriber
Perfect case of âyou get what you pay forâ. The casino seemed like the best deal of the whole stay at Oyo.
My first time at a Hooters, i was taken aback by the contrast of expectation to reality. Everyone ass-umes it's a coomer heaven, but really it's just a cheap dump for broke people to get cheap food. It seems like the resort is basically an extension of that motif.
your energy is so cool. you are an individual. you're just yourself. i love that you are so natural and so humble, that's hard to find in youtubers these days. you're awesome. thanks so much for all the info in your videos.
I have a massive phobia with hotel rooms to start with and this just gave me the creeps! If I walked in a hotel room and it was like that, I would in no way shape or form stay there. The 2 things of a hotel room that are the nastiest to me are the bed and the shower!
Thanks for the review, Ruby! Only time I ever went there was just for Hooters. We stayed at Luxor and walked through the strip to MGM then through Tropicana to get there. I remember the casino floor was very small, but the experience (showed up at happy hour, stayed for trivia) including the walk, really made it a much better trip.
Entertaining? YES! First off, it was interesting to hear you talk about a hotel that was not going to be recommended. Secondly, I laughed out loud at the editing when you mentioned that you can get ten beers for ten dollars. Showing that guy stumble down the stairs was hysterical. Good video once again!
My boyfriend was there over three years ago and he went to the bar and they were trying to set him up with phone numbers for ladies of the evening. He said no I'm here with my girlfriend.
i appreciate honest reviews like this and you bet, this helps me as I was really in need of advise on where to book this coming weekend. Am now a subscriber and now look forward to your videos.
Thanks for an honest review. My buddy and I would go there to play slots and get drinks. Being that the casino floor was so small, it seemed like the servers were always ready to load us up.
We need to know the bad along with the good. And we trust you to "tell it like it is." We love how genuine you are - I'm heading to Vegas for the first time in October. We're staying mid-strip at the Paris - I'm happy with that especially after seeing your videos on the Paris, Mon Ami Gabi, etc.
Perfectly said! Ruby and Mr. Ruby give us the good along with the bad. Most places have a fair mixture of both - except for this place.
Make sure to get a Player's card when you arrive - which will set you up for comp or reduced room rates on your next visit. You do have to pay the "Resort Fee" at strip hotels, unless you are a high roller. Don't expect a coffee maker in your room. I bought a 1-cup coffee maker, which I bring in my suitcase. Saves me money and is very convenient.
I do Vegas a lot, do not pay a lot for a room. You wonât be in the room that much. For a great stay and price. Hit the Linq, Harrahs, Resort World, the D in downtown. All awesome.
You have the best reviews! Always look forward to watching them.
Thanks for always pointing out both the good and the bad! Just one minor correction at 06:07 - In addition to Hooters, their other restaurant is Steak ân Shake not Shake Shack.
I love a bargain but I'm not into being creeped out by my room. Or the rest of the hotel. This just screams "not worth it!" to me. I'll spend the money for a functional, clean room. Thanks for staying here so we'd know not to! Always appreciate an honest review from you, Ruby.
If you really want to see creeped out, try Circus Circus ! The whole place smells like vomit and stinky feet !
I stayed at that train reck of a âhotelâ about 2 years ago. It was an horrible dirty place. Both the tub and sink were plugged up. I called for maintenance and the never showed. I drove to the store and purchased Drano to unclog them. The entire place is disgusting! I wrote a Yelp review and posted photos. Never ever stay at that place!đ€ąđĄđ€ą
Can't be as bad as The Manor at the Circus Circus!

I really enjoy your videos, they are very informative! It's been a long time since I've been to vegas, so it's nice to know what's new and what's not. I love your mini scenes! ROTFL!!!
I stayed there years ago when it was still Hooters Hotel. It was by far the worst hotel I had ever stayed in. The room smelled of chemicals and view was of a nasty AC unit. I don't know who designed the parking garage but it had to be created as a prank. America's Best Inn offers closets for rooms but I'd stay there before Hooters/Oyo. It was definitely a one and done experience, that property needs to be leveled immediately.
I forgot about that parking garage hahaha. It was creepy. Iâm pretty sure it was 2007 when I stayed there.
Years ago, I stayed at the Excalibur hotel, and it wasn't a bad place, however, I saw mold growing on the ceiling of the room I stayed in. Prior to that, the room I actually made reservations for wasn't ready, so they gave me one of their best rooms which had the mold growing.
After the lockdown and other events, I was planning on visiting Las Vegas again. It has been awhile since I was last there. But after watching some of your videos like this one, I'm not sure I'll go back there again! $19.00 per night is more skid row than anything else. I'm so glad you didn't use a blacklight in that room! Heaven only knows what was left behind! Best of luck, hope you didn't get any bedbugs!!đ±đ±
You look great in those denim shorts. I love your reviews of Vegas. Lots of good honest information. Very helpful for someone planning a visit. Keep up the good work. Blessings and safe travels
Great video for locals and visitors alike; this helps us understand why resorts flourish and they just wither here in Las Vegas. In a nutshell and like you said, they simply stop trying.
I remember playing roulette for $0.50 way back when this place was the San Remo. Never stayed there, but the $15 rooms (way back before the resort fees came) seemed like a place for, uh, "hourly entertainment".
This was the first hotel I ever stayed at in Las Vegas when it was called San Remo Hotel. I can't believe it's still there. It does look rough and it seems completely changed from when I stayed there in 1992 (MGM wasn't opened yet!). Love your channel and how thorough you are with your hotel tours.
I was born and raised in Vegas. In the mid 1990's there was an epic shootout with the feds and drug dealers at the San Remo! Full on Uzi's and automatic rifles going off! I lived less than a mile from the place and will never forget the sounds I heard during that epic gun battle.
Wow you just brought back a memory for me! The San Remo was where my husband and I stayed on an early visit back when we were broke broke youngsters!
I love your content !!!! Iâm going to Vegas next month for my 21st birthday .. your videos are really helpful :)
Great video- I'm sure all your viewers enjoyed watching this more than you enjoyed living it! I'm a local and your videos are so entertaining and informative!
Hi Ruby. Thank you for being honest. We value your opinion. Iâm sorry you had to go through all that though. I didnât know it had changed names. My son wanted to go there when we come to Vegas in August but Iâll show him this video and that should change his mind. I hope you might be in Vegas the first week in August. Iâd love to say Hi and meet Mr. Ruby. Have a good day đđ€đ»đș
Wow, thanks for the review. I remember years ago my friend and I stayed at the Klondike next to the airport not long before it closed down. I can say that the rooms were nowhere near as bad as this. The place was older but it also seemed a lot cleaner than this. We got some flyer special for the hotel that included prime rib dinner for two with the one night stay for I think $30 or $40 in September. Neither my friend nor I are gamblers so could not really compare the casino areas but I do remember it being fairly small and more of a place for locals to go to. I think the locals outnumbered the guests when we stayed there. Seems the cheap places in Vegas have gone down hill from year ago.
I really love your page. I feel like iâm hanging out with you and Mr Ruby. Thank you for your content!
ok i was wondering about this place since it was so cheap compared to other places on the strip. i stayed in one of their hotels in palm springs once and it was bad so i was skeptical. now you have confirmed my suspicions. thank you!
My sister and her 1 year old baby stayed here and had all of their money stolen whilst they were out! Despicable hotel and staff!! They treated her disgusting and asked her to check out rather than helping! And still charged her the resort fees for the rest of the duration!!!! X
Iâve never heard of this hotel and I know why now lol. Thanks for the honest review. Always appreciated. Definitely going to avoid this place like I do with Excalibur and Circus Circus đŹ just an fyi, you mentioned there was a shake shack at this hotel but I looked it up and I think youâre referring to a place called steak ân shake.
Keep going Ruby . Your videos never get old !
OMG... that cutaway!!!! "You could buy 10 beers for $10.00"... than a video of a man just destroyed holding his beer walking down some stairs falling apart was... hilarious!!!! That's for sure. That was awesome editing. Love the video, Doll. Going to be planning a trip for November '22 with my girl and I'm powering as many as I can before I book our trip. Love the videos for sure. Stay amazing, stay safe... stay METAL đ€đđ€
Omg Travel Ruby, you really took one for the team!
Sorry that you had to go through that but this experience will help travelers know to avoid that place.
I stayed there in 2017 after they remodeled. Absolutely loved it, seems like the OYO brand took it downhill. Hit a 19000 slot win there so I'll always love it
Just started following you and you are top of the pops girl friend. No one should go to vegas for the first time without watching your videos â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Love your channel. So much fun when you can't be there. Very informative. Two thumbs up
I never have laughed more during a vlog then on this one. From the moment you got in the elevator OMG I was busting up for like 20 seconds. And then as you continue saying all the stuff that was wrong in the room oh gosh I was just cracking up. I must say this was your most entertaining of them all. I'm sorry you had a crappy stay, but thanks for letting us know that it wasn't a good place to stay at. Oh by the way love the music you had on when you were showing the room perfect đđ
Omg the f*cking elevator had me dyyyyyying
I am glad you reviewed this place. I stayed here back when it was called Hooters Casino and Hotel. It looks like not a lot changed since I last stayed there in 2018. The room was outdated and in need of fixing up plus had a strange smell to it. The casino is tiny, the food sucks and there isn't a lot to do there. I picked it because it was a bit cheaper a close to the strip but you feel far from the action. You need to cross a very busy road to get over to the back side of MGM and the monorail station. Then walk from one side of MGM to the other side just to get onto the strip which is a far walk because MGM is massive. It is also next to Tropicana but it is a long walk to get over there too. There are a few low-budget motels right next door, so the area is a bit sketchy when outside. I agree with Ruby it's better to pay a little more to be at Excalber or Luxor and be on the strip. OYO and Tropicana might be knocked down to make way for a new baseball park in the near future.
Actually the Tropicana isnât that bad.
@@austinthomas9068 Iâve stayed at the Tropicana twice now and itâs not bad at all đđ»
The casino is DIRECTLY behind the Tropicana and DIRECTLY across from a side entrance of MGM Grand(though the parking facility) They even built a sidewalk for Hooters guests. I hate spending alot on hotels. I do not linger about in the hotel room all day. I am outta there at ten in the morning and dont come back until two the next morning.
This was a good one Ruby, thanks for experiencing the hotel on our behalf. I wish we could help compensate you for your trouble . Best from the UK
Oh my goodness you had me laughing so hard Ruby you are so funny. Although I felt bad for you guys. I have played blackjack at the OYO but I couldn't brave to stay there. Thank you for your bravery and humor love you bunches and can't wait to meet you next week.

Thanks for the review Ruby. They had the audacity to have a resort fee!? The Oyo hotels are going up all over the US, I would think they would have the resources to keep them in decent conditions. So Sad.
Excellent review as always. And of course, very entertaining. đ
TR, Awesome entertaining content! Thank you for sharing!
OYO rejected me for a corporate training job, so I blame it on them not hiring me 3 years ago! I might be enjoying this very negative (truthful) review a bit too much lol
Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise!
I think they needed you for sure!
Who even goes to the room beyond napping and showering? You got all year to rest up from your vacation. That job aint going nowhere.
Where you able to find a trainer job elsewhere? Asking because finding a good paying career position in southern NV is hard, the hotel casinos often overlook qualified locals and hire celebrity want a bees from California instead? No offense if you're from Calif.
you don't want to work there
This was interesting, and basically what I would have expected. We used to stay at this "resort" when it was the San Remo ( 1990's ) because we were always eating there at the really GREAT Buffet the used to have, so we decided to just stay there. It was somewhat "worn" at that time, but you could get a suite for such a reasonable rate. THEN we gave it 2 tries when it was "Hooters". First year it was so-so, the elevators were already gawd-aweful , but we were still satisfied with our stay. the NEXT year, the place was really going down hill! I don't think the common areas had been cleaned in several weeks or months. YUCK.
I used to love the San Remo. It was small and very comfortable and I stayed there several years in a row. I was at Hooter's Casino about 5 years ago and couldn't believe the sad shape it was in.
Thanks Ruby
Love your channel, learning a lot đ
Ruby, you have a very relaxed, enjoyable delivery style. Many of your competitors are lacking your natural talent that I enjoy. Interesting, funny, honest, and intelligent.
I almost booked that hotel when it was hooters. But I did exactly what you said.. paid just a little bit more and stayed at Luxor. It was for only 1 night.
I used to stay at Hooters all the time. When it got run down, instead of remodeling, they sold out to OYO hotel chain, known for sleazy dives. Apparently, OYO also decided not to remodel. I'm going in two weeks and I almost booked here. I'm really glad I booked Sahara instead.
My husband and I were laughing so hard at the reviews and made up some of our own for fun. âUpon checking into our room we noticed there was a ghost in our showerâ lmaooo
Me, too!! She had me with the description of the trash in the swimming pool as being ânot a good vibeâ⊠đđđ
The stopped up sink is very common on the upper floors. The traps under the sink get filled up with sand. At the height of the roof the wind is constantly blowing sand. Every time a guest flushes the toilet or uses the sink or shower, it creates a vacuum in the pipes and it sucks that blowing sand down the vent stacks and it settles in the traps. We have had the same problem many times on the upper floors of The Orleans. Just call maintenance and they will send someone to clean the trap under the sink. It's a constant problem that all the hotels in Vegas have been chasing for years ! It's not really a big deal, just a nuisance !
This is pure comedy gold! đ€The way that shower knob just gave up on life when it fell out took me out. đ
Thanks for the video, Ruby. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. Perhaps you could do a "Best *cheap* hotels in Vegas" video for those on tight budgets who are looking for something better than OYO.
Thank you! Very, very helpful. I remember OYO stands for "On Your Own," but not in a bad way! I think it was supposed to be for single, female business travelers, but I expect the pandemic wrecked that concept, or even solvency. We mostly stay Downtown, but I'd be interested in reviews of Silver Sevens, Palace Station and Ellis Island. I'll check to see if you've done any of them.
Silver Sevens, an absolute garbage dump. Another place that used to be decent bargain place just a few years ago, when it was Terribles
@@renocool1558 I visited there once, right after the Terribles conversion. It seemed nice then but pandemic trashed so many businesses. That's sad.
What about Circus Circus?
Does Ruby have to do everything ?!? How about doing your own research.
I really needed this laugh. When the knob fell off in the tub, I was done. đ€Łđ€Łđ€ŁVideo was well done!
lmao the horror music kills me. that clogged sink too...and the elevator stain...lmaooo! I love how small bad things kept happening. I hope they renovate, but heck for $19 a night and $2 budweisers, hmmmm....thanks for your awesome reviews!!
When I worked in the hotel industry it wasnât uncommon for us to put rooms that were out of order for random non safety issues, back in order if we were in a sell out status. Some places I worked told guests in advance and discounted the rooms. Other places prayed they didnât notice and charged full rate.
Wow. Thanks for the tip.
What a sad place! The unbelievable bad managed place, and a lot of nerve to charge a âresort fee!â A great tear-down candidate if ever there was one!
U think their gonna make profit on as low as $19 a night they gonna cut any corner where they can

My first time in Vegas was here when it was still Hooters. Had a Groupon that gave me extra free play, match play and free margaritas. It was late May and it felt like a ghost town. The 2nd time I went I was at the Flamingo and that's when I fell in love with Vegas. If I didn't go back at a different resort I don't think I'd be a regular.
I Love the clip you inserted of the guy stumbling down the stairs LMAO !!!!
One of these days you should come to Atlantic City to review the hotels there
Assuming the drink tickets were for you to not notice the rooms :) I laughed so hard about the handle coming off.

You don't spend much time in a hotel room, but it is such an important part of your trip. It needs to be a place you look forward to returning to even though you're not there for long. I could tell Ruby was not happy about returning to her room.
Cool informative video.
Love the music choices. đđŒ
Love the RTJ shirt đđ€ After your review and Pompsie's review I know one place I'll never stay at in Vegas!
I stayed here in 2018 when it was still the Hooters Hotel and it actually wasn't too bad, I remember my room and the pool being very clean. It seems since it has changed to OYO (wtf even is OYO?) it's really gone downhill, that room looks horrendous! It's a shame because I do miss the 00's nostalgia, kitschy aspect of a Hooters Hotel :(
Use to stay at MGM many years ago. Last time there, went across the street to check out the "hooters casino". Literally, there was/is NO way I would ever stay there. I vowed to never even walk in there again. The most creepy place ever.
If you think Oyo is creepy you should go check out the Howard Johnson and the Motel 6 a block or so away.
A BIG SHOUT OUT to Mr Ruby and all the crew for such excellent presentations - of course Ruby takes the prize with her congeniality đ
Mr. Leahy insert was awesome. Knowing the Ruby posse is up on TPB adds to your cred!
Thats the issue with low end hotels\housing. The people that stay there don't tend to be the most respectful so there are more issues. Then you're not making enough money to keep up with the constant issues. People want cheaper and it just doesn't work.
So true. Same goes with government/low income housing & resources. Thereâs a different mindset and we canât change it for them. I know this because I have family members who are this way. They disrespect property and burn every bridge. Makes it easier to understand the homeless populationâs mentality (not all, of course). Unfortunately LAâs & LVâs homelessness is out of control
Exactly, the property I work at is having the same issues, it's all about how the clientele treats the property.
I had a MUCH different experience at the OYO. While our room was outdated, it was still good for what it was. We knew what to expect since it used to be the Hooters. The pool was not filled with trash on our visit, big plus. But the BIGGEST plus this place has, is it's cheap table games, cheap drinks, and one of the best dealers I have every played with in Vegas. She was funny, knowledgeable, and above all kind. Wish I could remember her name but it has been a while. Sucks that you had a crummy stay from the looks of it. But I had a lot of fun at this hotel.
To us locals this is crackhead palace, and should be always avoided at all cost. There is a reason it is cheap and you get what you pay for in Las Vegas.
Cheap table games draw inexperienced players. Inexperienced players make you lose.
Ruby and her videos are awesome!
Great video. Thanks for posting this. Have a nice day.
I stayed at the Flamingo, not by choice, for two weeks while I was in Vegas for a work trip. It was a pretty good experience, my only complaint would be the Wi-Fi and phone service. I looked up the prices, and they arenât terrible, and it is right in the strip. Woke up every morning to see the Mirage. The Caesarâs Palace is right across the street. My group and I walked over to the Bellagio and the cosmopolitan a few time to eat; it was only about a 10-15 minute walk. The GPS said 25 minutes. And it is right next to the Linq strip is right outside one of the doors. There are a bunch of good places to eat there. From in-n-out to barbecue to pancakes to pizza to sushi and more. It was a really fun place to stay and it felt like we were in the middle of all the fun on the strip, while being really close to where we were work.
I cannot wait to be at Resorts World next week. First vacation in 3 years, and I work in a hospital so I definitely need it. Your travel videos are giving me good ideas on cool places to check out.
Beware of the Sushi...in the food court
We stayed there once waaaayyyyy back when it was the San Remo, prior to becoming Hooters. The rooms werenât great then and it looks like they havenât done any Maintenance since then. They use to have a nice little coffee shop where the Hooters is now. Decent breakfast and a good $5.99 prime rib dinner. What was most impressive was the coffee shop hostess. Weâd be in Vegas 4 weeks per year and eat at the coffee shop once or twice each trip. After the very first time the hostess remembered and treated us by name. We still miss that coffee shop, but weâd never book a room there again. Iâm amazed no one has imploded that place. The best thing about it was being next to the Tropicana, which has seen better days itself
Losing my mind at Mr Lahey đđ love your videos Ruby!
My first "taste" of Vegas was staying there with my family when it was San Remo. It was a dive, but it was still fairly nice. Then I stayed a few years later when it was Hooter's for nostalgia and... meh. Now? No thanks. I'll keep the memories.
What I have learned about hotels in General is it can always be worse. This Hotel does not even come close to the worst hotel my wife and I have stayed in. Let me explain.
July 1992, my wife and I were on our Honeymoon to Disneyland. The trip turned into an epic road trip of the southwestern United States from Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. We stayed in a lot of hotels. We were young then and did not have a ton of money for hotels, so we made the most of it. But we learned how bad a hotel room can get.
At one point, we stayed at a hotel in Norwalk California across from the Bobâs Big boy called the âAll Star Inn. My wife used to live near by and remembered it was a nice hotel circa 1979, so we checked in.
The room was horrible. It smelled like a sweaty ashtray. Every horizontal surface including the TV was covered with burn marks/melted from people lighting cigarettes and putting them down. The stand between the bed featured these burns also but had more going on. It was at one time attached to the wall but someone sat on it, so it was coming off the wall. âDrunken engineersâ decided to reattach it using chewing gum which was loosing its hold, so the chewing gum was stretching as the table sat at an angle. Beside the bed and the exterior wall on the dirty carpet was an oily mysterious wet spot that was about a foot in diameter. We did not dare look at the state of the matress and slept above the covers. The counter next to the bathroom featured the same cigarette burns. The door to the bathroom had been kicked off the hinges and was propped up against the door jam. To get into the bathroom, we had to prop it up against the wall. The bathroom smelled of bleach and mildew and had low water pressure. We stayed one night and went to Venice Beach and then to Barstow.
That room forever traumatized us. Since that room my wife refuses to go barefoot in any hotel room and we are always Leary of what we might find when we open a hotel room door. We have yet to stay at a place that is equal or lesser than the All Star Inn. The memory of that place has stayed with us. Two nights later, we stayed at the Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas. That was 30 years ago.
To celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary, we went back to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Paris. Had a great time and remembered our previous trip. We talked about the All Star Inn, and compared the hotels of that trip to stayed nag at the Paris. My wife and I have come a long way.
Anyhow, we will be going back to Vegas soon. We had THAT good of a time. It was our first vacation together alone in 30 years.
So you see, as bad as the Oyo was in this video, it could be worse. My wife and I know, we have been there. And survived.
This was hilarious. The part where something is squeaking in the bathroom and you turn around đđ great comedy! Cheap hotel/ cheap drinks lol!
My husband and I, LOVE YOU GUYS! We call you "The Ruby's!" You are so KIND and "REAL" - LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU!
Maybe when I was 21 I would stay there. 40 now and hell no.
I was really hoping you just rented the room for the video purposes and not actually sleeping there! you're both brave, brave souls! $19 very enticing, but the extra money you'd pay to stay at Luxor, or New York New York would probably be the Uber fees to the strip, saving feet from the walking to the strip from Oyo and especially the safety of NEEDING a key to get to the room floors! and probably not "stayin alive" in the elevator!
Iâm a new subscriber to your channel and Iâm loving your content so please keep it comingâŠ
We didnât stay there, but spent about 4hrs in the casino and had a blast. The dealers were super friendly and fun and the cocktail waitress came by very frequently. They only had 1 blackjack table, but there were plenty of $5 dollar tables.
This hotel makes me sad đ
These hotels make you pay all this money and the nerve to charge resort fees, just to put us in nasty dirty rooms, low water pressure with these showers, trash everywhere, we need to petition on losing the resort fees because they are taking that money and not repairing anything in these hotels. Glad you put this video up.
Ya, they should close this hotel and implode it.
If resort fees disappeared you would pay more than you do now with the resort fee. Only reason for resort fee is hotel doesn't have to pay percentage of that to 3rd party travel sites like Orbitz, expedia etc.
That's crazy
I stayed here for a buddy's bachelor party nearly 15 years ago, back when this resort was Hooters. The rooms were certainly in better shape than they appear to be now (under the Oyo name). I do remember the toilets clogging, the plumbing was not good. My expectations weren't high considering I got a round-trip flight + 3-night stay there for $150 (around 2005).
I remember going to Vegas many times during the week days and getting great prices on rooms at some of the Coast and Station casino/hotels (and Hooters Hotel)) $29/night during the week in winter months was not uncommon....AND THEN RESORT FEES CAME IN!! Freakin resort fees became as much or more than the actual room. The days of finding great deals at hotels / casinos / food in Vegas are totally over. Glad I was there before this current thing happened.
