Why would ancelotti leave the actual biggest club in the world? They have a great squad. They’re bringing mbappe and alphonso davis so the squad is improving. United are in a poor state. Merson really doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I’ve watched United for the last 25 years and I can confidently say ETH is the best manager we’ve had since Sir Alex, and he needs time to build a cohesive team. Injuries are the single biggest reason we haven’t had a good season. If you take the 7 best players out of City’s team they will not do well, I guarantee it. We’ve had 65 separate injuries this season which is the most in our history and practically unheard of. It amazes me how stupid pundits are sometimes, it’s as if they forget they said the same thing about Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Ole, Rangnick…. Nothing changes. We do not need to change this manager.

  • @judex0793

Hold everyone accountable from CEO to cleaner and everyone will take their job seriously.

Yeah, but any manager taking on that job knows its a big job. Its a full time job × 3. The managers must be signing the dotted line thinking, "I'm a cut above the rest and capable of fixing this team in a way no other manager could." Otherwise, they should turn it down, take on an easier job like lfc, with a ready made team that just needs a few tweaks.

Managers at UTD have struggled because UTD hire the wrong managers. Only Jose was UTD quality, he failed because the club backed the players over him. The rest of the hires are either unqualified (Oli, RR, Moyes, ETH) or style doesn't suit the PL (Van gal).

Hi@@kezleven8755 - I agree with you 75%. In the sense that, yes ... he would have had that special confidence to feel that he's the one who could turn Man U around. But clearly, he now has that proof that that task is beyond him. But firstly, he was never an Alonso i.e. they won a Bundesliga which has two CL semifinalists and one finalist. They are unbeaten in 48 games, and will win the Euro Cup. Based on these results alone, ETH can't be in Alonso's league. Also, as a good manager, he should improve on his team season after season (although in the epl, an improved team doesn't guarantee a better position, some other team could make an even bigger improvement). He knows he did well on the back of a stable defence in his first season - it was his job to make the case to keep defence. Spot the frailties, make plans to plug the gaps. Another issue, that is a Man Utd problem and I hope ETH could fix - they can't improve young players. Rashford is playing worse. Sancho left to another team that is better at making young players blossom. I want to see how Kobbie Mainoo progresses, because he's a pure talent with the right attitude - so Man U will have no excuses about his attitude or motivation.

Paul merson, the man who scored the goal that ended the great liverpool team, knows what he is talking about.
He knows what it is like to play under a manager who can manage a team of stars, and be a boss over them.
If your a footballer playing in a team, you should accept that your manager is your boss, and if someone cannot play that role, then no one can direct the team.
Ask big actors, and how they relate to directors telling them what they have to do.
Do these actors threaten to beat up there directors for pissing these people off, no of course not. The actors understand someone has to direct, ie the manager
Merson understands what that is like, and what it takes, and makes me laugh how bad a team like man utd are now.
Merson is the only person there who knows what he is speaking about, as he played under a boss who did that to the team, made them work as a team, and if they did not want too, they could f-off.
Look at brian clough, totally ran his team, and even roy keane played under him, and roy is thankful he played under a manager who could manage big players.
All you people laughing at paul merson, he is the player that ended liverpools rein on top of english football.
Not man utd, alex fergusons teams never once beat the great liverpool teams, paul merson played in the arsenal teams that brought the end to liverpool at top of english football.
Thats why paul merson knows what he is speaking about, as he has been there, and done it at highest level.
Makes me laugh that man utd are so rubbish now, and why football is rubbish now, but people do not want to hear why that is. People do not want to admit todays players are not as good as ones in past.

Give up Bellingham, Vini Jr and Mbappe for UTD's overpaid dross? Tough choice! Can we please stop with this Man U are the biggest club in the world nonsense. Anyone who watched 14 time European champions Real Madrid this week in their astonishing redeveloped Bernaubeu stadium knows this is lazy, nonsensical and clearly not based in reality.

Man U under tenhag is the biggest mistake we ever made. Man united we have stopped buying players that resembles our previous identity. example Madrid are buying players that resemble the previous winning squad eg vini, rodrigo, mpappe they resemble ronaldo, benzema their back 4 , the likes of rudiger, alaba, militao etc, they resemble ramos and pepe. midfield they now have camavinga, jude ....... than tenhag who brought in weghost, sabitzer, mount, anthony, onana, amrabat, casemiro, ericksen, they dont resemble our previous winning squads. eg we need vidic, (martinez) , giggs, scholes, cr7, rooney, tevez, nani, beckham, vanisteeroy.
