We visited for the day the stunning town of Akyaka. It is Türkiye's hidden Gem!
We visited 4 areas!
1. The beach😍
2. The Town 😍
3. The river walkway 😍
4. The river boat tour 😍
All magnificent to see. An easy stroll covers it all in a day but if you get the chance to savour this beautiful place for longer then be sure to book into one of the many surrounding hotels. There are hotels on every street.
For us the highlight was the River boat trip but that said the whole area is just wonderful and exciting.
Shopping in Türkiye is always fun and here is no exception. The streets and parks are lined with souvenir shops to keep you shoppers happy.
Only a half hour away is the main resort of Marmaris. If you are staying there you must definitely make a visit to Akyaka.
We would say, if you are in any of the resorts, Oludeniz, Hisaronu, Fethiye, Dalaman, Göcek also then this place is maximum 1 and a half hours away, so get yourself there.

Fantastic little gem. All these years I visited everywhere around the world except Türkiye.
I grew up with a huge Turkish and Turkish Cypriot community in Bermondsey, but never thought of visiting either places. Until September 2023, I went to Sunset Beach Club, Çaliş Beach, Fethiye for 10 days and fell in love with the place. I did Istanbul in March, doing Fuerteventura in April (probably for the last time), back to Fethiye in May, September and early October 2024, and I might even get out there in June 🤞🏼
I really like your videos, and this one whet my appetite to visit Akyaka 👍🏼

Brillant ronnie what a setting 20 years ago we used to go to mamaris and never noo it was their .I wonce did a tour from mamaris to feitheye rock tombs and market and that how we found feitheye never looked back .but wished we hade seen attika then it's like a calm retreat wonderfull ronnie enjoy. lovely boat trip to .we watched it on big screen TV magic moments
Hi Ronnie...I went here 2 years ago and it was nice but now many more bars amd restaurants. I was also there 21 years ago....so different . I think you should visit next time your over.....but not high season...could be busy lol. Thanks for watching....🙏🙏🙏😊

We visit Akyaka regularly from our place in Dalyan, lovely place. It is a more authentic Turkish place without all the tourists you get in the likes of Marmaris and Calis beach. We also like visiting the Datca peninsula for the same reason.

Very nice place but spoilt a bit like most Turkish tesorts by to many shops n cafes, hassling at night is horrendous
Oh I can say out of my recent places to visit this was one of the best....so many places are not hassling here. Only once I was approached.....oh other resorts I agree....too much....but we live in tourism...I love the fact no sunbeds here lol

If you Google marmaris...as you head down from the D400 you will see Akyaka ....its easy to find. Its absolutely beautiful. I'm planning another trip this month.
Very few people in sea ,,, I think water is very cold there at that area

Has anyone any idea how much a cab to Akyaka is from Çaliş Plaje? I don't fancy driving.
I'm guessing about £80 each way.
I'm out in Fethiye next week for 10 days, and again in September and early October.
Can I suggest get a bus to the Marmaris Mugla roundabout...get a taxi from there. So much cheaper
