Until Next Time explores the emotional journey of departure and anticipation of reunion. Composed for the intermediate to advanced level performer, this piece features a lyrical melody with a gentle and introspective character, punctuated by occasional bursts of virtuosic flourishes.

The piece begins with a soft and expressive introduction that sets the tone for the wistful and nostalgic mood. The main theme is then introduced in the middle register of the vibraphone, weaving a delicate and melancholic melody. The harmony is simple and sparse, allowing the performer to shape and express the emotions behind the music. The middle section of the piece features more complex rhythms and faster passages, as the melody transitions to a more hopeful and optimistic mood. The sticking for the triplet section is the hardest sticking ive ever had to do. At first i was like "oh i got this" then you got 2 1 1 2 all in a row. How daunting
Try playing on the very edges of the naturals and accidentals. Makes it much easier!

I noticed that this vibraphone says it plays at A = 442. Do you know if there's a reason in particular it's tuned that way?
Some groups use A 442 instead of 440 because of the “brighter” sound. This isn’t my personal instrument, but I would guess that most large ensembles at my university prefer A 442 instead of 440. I do not have perfect pitch, so it’s hard for me to tell the difference or have a preference.

A 442 became the standard tuning in many countries. It's easier to craft a clarinet tuned in 442 for instance....
