Being a Pentecostal Christian, in my early years of being a Christian, no one tied the Day of Pentecost to the Old Testament. I had always wondered why God chose a great mighty wind and tongues of fire to pour out His Spirit? Seemed like a one time, strange phenomena, but now I see how it all ties together. The Lord is never random about what He does.
Thank You Lord for Your Holy Spirit, Your light in us, Your unchangeable presence among us all over the world! Please reveal Yourself to the Jewish people, Your chosen nation, open their hearts to You, turn them back to You Lord Yeshua! Thank you for this very important teaching concerning the three paralleled / strongly linked events. the pentecost is the reverse of the curse of babel(babbling=speaking foreign languages that obstruct comunication), as well as the fulfillment of the law of God written on our hearts. if you are a true pentecostal like me, you will not desire speaking in gibberish, but instead pursuing love and speaking truth to fellow mankind(especially the Gospel). the spirit of Yahovah is the spirit of Holiness and truth, it will testify about the Son of God in understandable languages just like the pentecost event in acts. on the contrary, speaking (some have presupposed Paul also speaks in gibberish) " tongues" is a new age practice that many in my neighboring country india as well as many other occult religions love to engage, but as we all know, Jesus never speaks in the dark and mysteries, the word of God the Logos was revealed to us for the sake of revealing the father in knowlege and truth so that we may KNOW HIM. please think twice my fellow believers of Yeshua who presume all "tongues" whether undertandable/translatable or not is by default from the God of israel. meditate on these three events and consider the whole biblical narrative and why Jesus came. use some common sense and perhaps you will starting to read and understand 1Cor differently. we must read the word of God in context and as a whole. otherwise, we can do all things through a bible verse taking out of context. be blessed.

This reminds me of a story that my parents told me. A few years ago, they visited Lourdes and attended a massive procession with other pilgrims from all around the world. And so, when they prayed together, they prayed the same prayers in their own languages. It's such a breathtaking experience. I would love to go there myself someday.

An interesting comparison with confusion of tongues at Babel and Unity of tongues at Pentecost. This event was a confirmation of those present as First Fruits through Holy Spirit, Baptising them with fire into Christ,, Matthew 3:11. They were enabled through the indwelling of the Spirit, having been anointed, Acts 2:1-4, to perform miracles, confirming the New Covenant.

At Pentecost the gift of Tongues (languages) was given to the Church so that each people group could hear the gospel in their own language. The Apostles was given this gift of languages so that the gospel could be preached to all. The counterfeit gift of Tongues is Babbling but the true gift of Tongues from God is the gift of hearing the gospel in your own Tongue (language) each though the Preacher may be speaking in their own spoken language and or speaking the gospel in a Tongue (language) that you have not previously learnt but are able to speak it perfectly that the people hear the gospel. This gift has been manifested even today especially in the missionary work to the unreached nations

If you start from scratch, from biblical texts, & calculate Shavuot & Pentecost, do they fall on the dates that have been recognized for years or was an error made?
I was just watching Dr Barry Awe channel and he says no they don’t fall on the same date. That Jesus accented back to heaven on Shavuot and that Pentecost was 50 days later when the spirit was poured out. I’m not a biblical scholar I just know many are coming to a new understanding
