Actually, that isn’t exactly true, if there is stuck shed, you can either soak them and dry them with a towel, or you can actually peel it off, but if there is ANY resistance at all, stop peeling, as that shed isn’t ready to come off yet! If you assist a snake, it won’t actually hurt them, unless there is resistance!! So what they were doing in that video didn’t hurt the snake one bit, they were helping it, and having loose skin that isn’t coming off is extremely itchy and uncomfortable for the snake, so yea, they were helping, not harming!! And the snake didn’t look uncomfortable at all, and when a snake is uncomfortable, it’ll let you know!! Lol
Edit- but don’t pull on the shed, lift it gently, and it should just, kinda fall off? if that makes sense!! Be extremely gentle when doing so, as if done wrong, it can lead to loosing scales and causing sores and cuts/injuries. Just don’t pull on shed that isn’t ready to come off!!

@TLeeyah O you’re not supposed to do that when they’re shedding, they’ll do it on their own. if there’s a little bit of skin just stuck somewhere on them then that’s one thing, but they’re meant to do that on their own without a person to do that.
@TLeeyah O i know that, im not saying the snake is in pain, but you’re supposed to let the snake shed on it’s own, without any extra help from a handler UNLESS it’s absolutely needed, as if the snake had something wrong with it that’s literally preventing it from shedding on its own. if that’s the case then so be it, but otherwise, don’t do that as a snake owner.

exactly. they do it on their own, it’s one thing to remove a bit of leftover shed, but not the whole thing like that.

i was about to comment this !! often reason why shed can be difficult to pull off is because it’s not ready!!! they do it fine on their own and it made me MAD
@@camrenjames6035 snakes are different to lizards, once it's off the nose, it's ready to come off and you can holf it as the snake moves
to all the people saying he’s not pulling it or whatever. if you watched the snake. the shed had some resistance which means it could seriously damage the snakes skin if it’s not ready to come off. it could make next sheds extremely difficult for the snake. before you say something please research.

8:42 If you are using a peel, most labels say not to pull on it and let it peel naturally, since it can cause scarring and damage. Unless this girl has read the instructions and she knows that she has to pull on it, she’s in danger of her hand scarring. It’s a bit like why you shouldn’t peel a snake’s shedding unless you have to. Also some people may be sensitive to that stuff so try and put a warning next time. for 4:48, pretty sure thats floral foam. My mom used to use it for flower arrangement. Doesn't give you skin cancer and is just used for holding the leaves and the flowers together. But what it does cause harm to is the respiratory system, considering it contains formaldehyde.
Adding on, it contains plastic and is bad for the environment but not skin cancer.
