I also love their style, Gang of Four was a Maoist group in China, whom were promptly executed or imprisoned after Mao's death. Their marxist, chinese orientation was what caught my attention. I also find their first 3 album covers to be untouchable. In my opinion they are the greatest post-punk band.

I forgot to mention that the version I reviewed is the 2021 remastered version. The track list is different on this version for some reason.
The first two Gang of Four albums are untouchable... the second is a little thicker and denser sounding than the first, but two of my personal top 100
They are AMAZING. I think over time Ive come to love the second more!

@@chunkrecords I’ll give it another spin! I gave it a 9 because at the end of the day it felt like a masterpiece.
I really feel in the minority saying this album appeals more to me than entertainment
