Watching from Darjeeling ❤ we are not called as Nepali in India we are considered as Indian Gorkha not Nepali . We speak Nepali not just bcz it share border with Nepal but Nepali is one of 22 recognised language .Though Darjeeling is a part of West Bengal we have a Separate Administration "Gorkhaland Territorial Administration " and Nepali is a official Language of Darjeeling and Sikkim both.
Which history tell you are gorkha. none of any gorkha kingdom history mentioned Darjeeling as a gorkhas. it was part of sikkim later captured by nepal king badur shaha, And later return to sikkim. don't give wrong information. gorkha our Nepal blood history on victory of uncounqure. it is not history of slave.

Since 1852, Mount Kanchenjungha carrying all emotion of Bengali's and Sikkimese. North Indians basically used to go Shimla, Manali, Uttarakhand when get a scope. But we Bengali's used to go Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Sandakphu, Gangtok, Goechala etc. to see and feel Kangchenjunga since birth. Mount. Kangchenjunga has putted into our soul since British Era. Until 1852 it was worlds Highest Mountain range in the world but after measurement of Mount. Everest it was found as 3rd Highest Mountain in the world currently, 2nd Highest is K2. Also Mount. Kanchenjungha is the Highest Mountain range in India, which few peoples knows as "Sleeping Buddha" along with its entire range (Mount Pandim, Kabru, Kumbhakarna, Narsingh etc.). Which our - Cinematographer and Bengali film director Shri. Styajit Ray (Awarded by Bharat Ratna, Dadasaheb Phalke, Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, and many more) has shown his National Awarded Movie "Kanchenjungha (Kanchonjônggha) in 1962. Since birth and childhood all Bengali's are getting the emotions and feeling for Kanchenjungha to se it at once in their life. Kanchenjungha is an emotion of us, pray of us, soul of us.
