Giving up is just a state of mind. I don't know how many times I have told myself I'm gonna make an announcement and just say I give up, I'm walking away. Another couple of years down the line, here I am taking my chances again on life. Everybody knows about my struggle with substance abuse, you know what am saying! and it's one of the things that doesn't only infect you on a neural level or brain chemical balance level, but also on a soul level... And I think with me and my resilience just knowing how substance abuse has taken so many people. Ebile ha ke rialo, I think of bo Mandoza, bo Whitney Houston and a whole lot of people who are talented, but I'm one person who believes in taking their chances in every day, whether it might look like it or not! It's something that I think about on a 24hour basis...A whole lot of people deal with problems, addictions, we have addictions on so many levels and mine just happens to be substance abuse and it happens to be in the public domain. The reason I think I let it out, is because I want people to understand that I am not only fighting demons I am also fighting myself.
