HomeTheatreJunkie 71 Your assumption is that poverty correlates to homelessness. I spent 2 months in the Philippines and while I saw much poverty, I never saw ANY homelessness. And I looked for it. I think that the Filipino value of family is the difference. The culture simply doesn't allow family members to be homeless.
My first trip to the Philippines was Sept 2001, again Jan 2002 & again May 2002. My wife came to the states Aug 2002. We lived in the states together with our daughter for 8 yrs then we made a decision and moved permanently to the archipelago. We love it here. Our daughter , now 17 and has exceeded our wildest expectations in school. Always top 10 until this year when they decided to quit doing "top 10's". CAT member, Student Council Pres. last yr this yr she wanted only VP and she is. Santa Rosa chapter YFC leader. All in all my wife , daughter and myself love it here.

Been in Coron only once but quite unforgettable place and experience of a lifetime. Obtw was born and raised in the phils. now based in au. It's heartwarming to hear foreigners love the Philippines and would want to live there permanently. It's a happy place to live in when you surround yourself with happy people.

1. Sherlyn casually doing lunges in the background lol. It's nice to see people exercising while vacationing.
2. The dog. Oh I definitely enjoyed that, especially when it jumped towards the drone. So cute :)
3. Chris, the tour guide. That's one good guide, and funny too! (a thousand years ago LOL!)
4. The stingrays!! Reminded me of that one that was caged up, Brenda was it?
Things I did not enjoy :(
1. Climbing on to that "mermaid". Rock formations like those typically take thousands of years to form.
2. The tied-up baby monkey :( Animals should be free to roam and wander around. Just my opinion though.
Anyways, I agree. Sherlyn should be with you in some of your future travels. It's always good to have someone to bounce off energy and ideas from. Perhaps not all the time. Solitary expeditions and disconnecting from the world are kinda your thing Finn. :p And yeah, I vote Finnatics. Besides, that's what your subscribers have been calling themselves for quite a while now :)
