- Installing an concertina door into an open doorway is a cost-effective do-it-yourself method to fit a holding door in where it would be impractical or cost prohibitive to install an expensive cavity internal sliding door. I review the Pillar Products 82 x 203 cm Monaco White PVC door I installed myself. I paid for the product myself (no sponsorship). Cost was A$56 Australian from my local Bunnings hardware store.

Has this inspired you to fit a concertina door in your place?
Thanks mate! Looking at your instruction again to put a second door in.
Thanks for watching 🤗
I wish I found this video earlier, needed a door for this exact purpose. Cheers mate

Glad to be able to help 😎
Thank you for making this review, it is very helpful, I will be getting my concertina door from bunnings this weekend :) fingers crossed i install it as good as you have lol
You should be fine, just take it slowly 😎
Thanks, fella for the informative review. I have a situation, very much like the one in your video, and have been searching for a solution. I think I've found it. Nice to meet you. Cheers. D.
Cheers, thanks for watching. The door is quite inexpensive and easy to install if you have a bit of DIY experience.
Nice! I have a wide space - can you have 2 of these doors next to each other? would it will work with the magnets?
If the doorway is wider you can buy extra panels to make the folding door wider, check with your hardware shop, if it's a really wide double door space it may not be possible as the top track is only a certain max length 82 or 85 cm. If you had two doors, they would need a vertical pole/plank in the middle for them to latch to which would be unsightly. The door has a magnet & frame metal, if two doors came together they would possibly repel each other?
I installed 2 of these next to each with an opening of 1800MM today and the only problem is there is no magnetic system to hold the 2 doors together, so I guess I will have to screw some sort of custom magnet system to make it work. Other than that, it seems to work fine with the 200mm extender that I had to also purchase.
Hi Can you add panels to the monaco concertina door? I want to combine 2 more and make it a 100cm screen. Thanks!
Hi, it is possible if separate panels are available from your retailer - check with them
@@ecopennylife I bought 3 of the Monaco set as I can't find separate panels. Would you mind briefly explain how this can be done? I assume taking the screw off the top and slide new panels in? Many thanks 🙏
@@MsLilo09 yeah, remove the little screw and slide the new panels in, make sure the special panels are at the beginning and end, err on the side of too many panels as it it is too wide the panels concertina a bit when door closed so doesn't matter too much.
@@ecopennylife many thanks. Let me try over the weekend and let you know how I go! :)
