So many moving parts on it, the cost of maintenance must be huge.

Operated one of these in the early 90's. It was a unbelievable what the machine is capable of. When operating it is best to think out of the box.

26:25 Lol, divining rods, that made me chuckle. Strange to see this sort of thing in a Welt documentary though, at least without any disclaimer of it being completely bogus superstition. They just simply explain "if the rods cross each other it indicates the presence of underground water", as if stating something factual. Really, really strange to hear that in a documentary such as this. Apart from that, fascinating vehicle, very cool to see in what ways they can be used and how they're made

They could've cut this shit out, but it's not like they made it up. They just filmed the people working these machines, and happened to get one of the hillbillies.

@@lorenzo6045 I was shocked about that as well. Maybe they don't rely in "science" as much. I live in Sweden and I think a university here made a study on it and some how could confirm it, but I can't remember when I read it.

I was surprised too, and that's just about what we already know. I wonder what else we're being told as if it's factual but is actually bogus, and I'm not just talking about this video btw..

Every study done on divining rods shows without doubt that they are totally bogus. People will believe what they want to believe irregardless of science showing otherwise

Love these shows. Extremely interesting. The narrator is great...however..he talks about screws, that are actually bolts, and describes pins, as being bolts...fact is, the only screws on this show, are the ones inside the cab that fixes the speedometer etc...the rest are all bolts, with pins in key hinged areas....

Divining rods has to be a joke. Either the guy "using" them must have been joking or the production company left it in to laugh at the concept. Electroboom does a great job debunking them in one of his videos.
