Interesting camo. I’ve never seen that pattern before, it’s reminiscent of the WW2 pacific theatre “frog man” camo. Also seeing a lot of tape on weapons, which is rarely seen in western style militaries.
In Japan's SDF, losing government-issued items involves a large-scale search operation and penalties, so members are afraid of this and often use vinyl tape. Also, since Japan is a gun-free society, they are very strict about ammunition management and will recover at least 80% of their ammunition, even if it is a blank gun.

I saw how everything was executed, but wow, it really looks like a huge mess. Surely, team leaders/squad leader were knowledgeable themselves. A lot of things were handled poorly.
