I lost my dad to Melanoma 13 years ago and let me tell you; these beautiful songs that remind you of him are the closest you will ever get to him again.....treasure them and allow yourself to feel all those powerful feelings. Nothing like it in life.

This song would have to be perfectly mic'ed up with perfect sound and flawless interpretations from the artists in order for it to work in a live situation, these conditions are rarely met.
They do a good rendition of the song, although the mix from the album sounds a million times better than this live version.
I would love to hear this song in a campfire though :)

Man, these guys got a run for the money from all the ladies covering this song with an acoustic guitar here on CZcams. Obviously these guys came up with the song, so you can't touch that. But there are a few really good covers out there now.
