- Documentary commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Munich air crash on February 6, 1958, in which 23 people, including eight Manchester United football players, were killed. Former team-mates, friends and relatives recall manager Matt Busby's two-time Championship-winning side.
- Sport
One of the most iconic sports photos ever when they lined up before the game and Edwards tucking his shorts 😭
David Pegg was very handsome. You can tell from how Bobby Charlton talks about him in various interviews that he and David were very close friends. When Bobby was the new boy in MUFC, David and Tommy Taylor immediately made him feel welcome. The Busby Babes clearly set the example for friendship + teamwork in sport.
Respect to all the City, Leeds & liverpool fans genuinely expressing sorrow! Some things are more impt than football!
Rip to the Chapecoense players and staff who lost their lives. Hope they can rise from the ashes like Man Utd did and keep going.
Roger Byrne was a member of United's first post war league title champions in 1952.
It was a long time ago yet it seems liks yesterday.Lucky to see them play and often dream about my RED SHIRTED heroes. I named my son MATTHEW JAMES in respect of two of the Greatest men to walk this world. THE BABES LIVE ON,Dave MUSC HIGH PEAK BRANCH
Will never be forgotten what a great team, all I can say is RIP
Alright..I'm not gonna lie. I figured out about this team today, searched and now I'm here. That's really sad..Respect from Sweden.
watching this on the 60th year! will never be forgotten!
The plane, an airspeed ambassador, did not have the range to fly Zagreb to Manchester and landed at Munich to refuel, and snow covered the runway.
James thain and Ken rayment, had aborted the 2 previous take off attempts due to engine problems, and as the pilots, they could have delayed the flight overnight to have the engines attended to, but elected not too, and attempted anpther take off run, despite the runway being covered in falling snow and slush, and as soon as the aircraft entered slush, they could not get enough speed up to get airborne, the aircraft actually slowing down before it collided
Love the Busby Babes, definitely one of the most memorable teams in football history. Just saw the film United and I think it did the team justice, BBC did a great job and the cast was amazing. If you haven't heard about it yet you should check it out if you're a fan of the team.
The Flowers of Manchester - Never forget 58
Edwards cuts through the defence line like a knife through butter . ..
Love that.
RIP
R.i.p from Coventry city
Thank you.
Wish there were a way to cut from 11:35-12:09, then it would be perfect. God bless the memory of the Busby Babes.
They were playing in a 2-3-5 formation. This was great. want to this again Mr. Moyes..
Also, it's criminal that a team who literally lived and died for the sport they loved doing were only on wages of something akin to £15 per week, compared to the £100,000s per week that less talented players receive today. It's shameful that football equates with greed now.
Respect to you for that comment
I'd give a lot of money to see how good Duncan Edwards was.
id give everything i have for that!
In UTD. You live forever rip BUSBY BABES :( GGMU

+Red Devil9 I know right
now then
Cant believe jimmy Saville's on here lol
It's because he was a DJ at a nightclub that many local football teams socialized at after matches.
Savile popping up is a total non starter, this needs edited out.
Who's here on 2/6/21? Also, Jimmy Saville makes Ted Bundy look like a Greek God.
RIP from arsenal
Cjust think how we would of been more successful then real Madrid if this hadn't happened!... Disappointed Jimmy saville is there and that man comparing it to one womans death ! This was a bunch of working class lads playing football not running from the press that she courted and made a job out of! Terrible comparison!
Tommy Taylor = Tommy Robinson
Your name suits you well
Jimmy Savile? hhahaha
