Display Services - Decorating the Sunrise Mall, Christmas 1979

KCRA-TV's John Gibson takes us behind the scenes as local business Display Services creates decorations and displays for all the area's malls. In this footage shot in November of 1979, we see people hard at work getting ready for the season and setting up at the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights, California.

My grandma worked at JCPenney at Sunrise mall for twenty years I grew in that mall in the 80’s

Thanks for sharing this video of Sunrise Mall during its heyday. An interesting note is that Gibson later wrote the book, "The War on Christmas."
