- Silver bars are a fun crossover between silver bullion stacking and collecting. Often times, you can find cool old vintage silver bars in the the "generics" bin at your local coin shop. In this video, I'll show you a bunch of my pickups that I've made over the years. Enjoy all the beautiful silver eye candy!

I just ordered that same guardhouse box last night, lol! Great minds think alike! I have the single row one filled up just like Pirate has. Thank you for the channel mention, that is always very nice. Your bar is easy to ID from the serial number range (leading zero, so earlier bar). You can find it on the AE website with a mintage of 17,500 and production dates from 1968 to the early 70's. It was before the Bull logo was used on the Canadian bars. Watched until the end- awesome collection!

Bought four sealed sequential JM 1oz bars for 30 a pop from a pawn shop.
Each one has a serial number & classic design & quality 👌

I have a few of those boxes. That way I can organize my collection by maker. I also leave slots unfilled to separate varieties and make it easier to pull the bars out. If a bar is in it's original packaging it fits as well as a capsule.

T AMAZING share. I purchased an 1852 gold quarter eagle on my honeymoon in NYC for scrap gold price and flipped it for a good profit. Turned in some $$ out pocket for 9 1oz Engelhard vintage 2 JM proof like bars 5oz GA golden analytical of Golden Colorado 5oz ICI bar... 5oz U.S silver Corp. Few others. I got GREAT price have a GREAT relationship with my LCS. Love it LOVE the channel. Peace & Love to you & yours from the Sunflower State!!!

I love these art bars, altho I want bars for stacking weight there is no reason for them to be plain and generic, silver is a very beautiful canvas and these designs just add so much to the satisfaction of having them; and they make for a nice display ♥️

I collect 1 oz art bars as well. I have been buying some of the "All-Chips" really rare stuff...like 1 of 150, 1 of 175...they are spendy, but should do well in the future. I try to mostly buy the Halloween stuff. I just bought a 1 of 150 Halloween 2022 Beavis and Butt-Head proof, its a beauty!

Ordered the same guardhouse box and the capsules that I have will not fit in it or there are different types of plastic capsules.
I like that Guardhouse box of 50 idea and may do the same. Do you prefer to remove the plastic covers that bars sometimes come in? I know some people want the original plastic but I sense this could cause tarnish the silver or get stuck to the bars themselves so I am considering removing them.

Are Crabtree mint bars rare? I have one from 1974. The reason I ask this is I hardly ever see these on eBay.

are vintage bars a good store of wealth? I'm looking at some now and choosing between them and some modern ones. I think I'll most likely take the vintage as it seems a good deal
My favorite is vintage at or close to regular silver prices.
@@TtheSilverStacker The ones I'm looking at might be better regular silver prices. They are an odd weight 66 grams, 5g of which is copper, which I've not seen in modern bars. They look great, vintage car designs. Made in Germany.
Why cant I find anything on vintage silver buffalo bars on the net. Where they all fake? I have 10 I bought about 20 yrs ago and cannot find a single one on the net except the stupid tin and nickle ones on ebay.
