Andy Kim, is a Canadian pop rock singer & songwriter in the 60's-70's. He had a few hits such as "Baby, I Love You", "How'd We Ever Get This Way?", "Rainbow Ride", "Be My Baby" & "It's Your Life". He also co-wrote with Jeff Barry, "Sugar, Sugar" which was a hit single for the "Archies". Kim & Barry wrote more songs for the "Archies" & also for the "Monkees'" album Changes in 1970.

A baby-making song for 50 years!! Another more sensuous lovemaking song that was a monster hit was Miracles by Jefferson Starship, which was released in 1975 a year after Rock Me Gently.

Born Andrew Youakim (Lebanese parents) in Montreal, he changed his name to Andy Kim, and then later to Baron Longfellow III (yup). He co-wrote Sugar Sugar for the Archies and was one of the backing singers on the record.

I was watching the old tv show from 1973 called Barnaby Jones it’s a detective show and I was surprised to see Andy Kim on that show acting as a rock star it was cool

I sang this song to my now 26 year old daughter to get her to sleep when she was a baby. I wound up divorced when she was 2.5 and had split custody because 7 was told that I didn't stand a chance of full custody as a man with a girl of that age. At 23 she was diagnosed with an ultra rare form of liver cancer. I sent 25% of my time with her 500 miles from home while she recovered form 3 major surgeries and a 4th one to clean up from the 3rd surgery. Today she 7s cancer free as far as the scans can tell. She is so much smarter than me and graduated with honors from our states best university. I keep my fingers crossed that this monster never returns. I also used to sing Rocky to her as a baby. I hope I never out live her. She went from 130 pound to 95 pronds to her first surgery. In the summer of 2019 when I picked her up at the airport I was in shock and knew something was wrong due to her low weight but had no idea it was cancer.
Hey Shawn, the lack of words from you says it all man. I really get your feelings towards your beautiful Mel. This too was mine and my then girlfriend Kim (who became my wife) "after nightclub" goto song when it came out, back in late 1974. It evokes so many deep feelings of what true love is all about. Just love your reaction.
