Thanks for finally helping my brain click with the ATEMs, decks, companion, the buttons and brolls….. Alex Petit and Photobroseph are awesome, but i learned with you way better. Keep it up!
I'm toying with the idea of live streaming to improve my workflow and i've been trolling youtube university for direction - you somehow crammed SO much more value in one video than i've gotten combined from elsewhere. THANKS and keep it coming!
thanks very much for the contribution! live streaming and taking away all of the editing CERTAINLY cuts down on production time and effort. if you're good enough to deliver a live rendition every time, you can get around to making lots more material. thanks for the support: and good news.. my NEW production channel has lots more stuff you'll like... brodie.bz/Production
Uhhhhh most comprehensible explanation in weeks of tutorializing! Im a electronica/ROCKTRONICA musician and wants to stream with iso, a regular, stream decks, 7 cameras, in a mini festival concert live performances in my living room by myself….. and 4 different computers. Just…. Thank you!
that's awesome! i remember when all this stuff became clear to me too - and it helps you reach the full potential of the products. very good feeling. be well!
I just setup something similar for use on my other channel. I use the ATEM pro iso, Rodecaster pro, stream deck, h2r graphics and OBS. H2R graphics and OBS let me send extra graphics and video sources to the ATEM that I can use with the upstream or downstream keys. The companion software lets me coordinate actions on all three systems into one button.
The live overlay is a problem of On Air keying settings. IMO it's actually better to simply use OBS for that downstream from ATEM. It's just less finagling and it's way more intuitive so you get what you expect instead of runaway live overlays.
Thanks for another great video, Brodie! Can I ask what mic you're using, the sound is phenomenal and what main camera as well? The look is top notch, thanks.
Another great video. Please dive deeper into your setup, very professional. I have many of the same ‘toys’ for my live stream. Looking forward to the next one. One quick question, how do you get the audio into your Atem Mini Pro? Line out from the Apollo twin? Via software? Keep creating this great materials
Loved you video.. Only have one question is there a way to see the comments in the ATEM software from Facebook live and that you can respond on it right away when you go live ??
thanks for watching! the atem software does not interface with any of the chat functions on facebook or youtube unfortunately. but i agree, that would be a good feature for the future!
Great info. I'm using a mini pro, how could I work through recording and streaming at the same time? I want to stream but also do some post edit for smaller projects.
it does BOTH at the same time! stream through your ethernet output and record through the USB-c. unfortunately can't pass both through the USB-C at the same time.
Thanks Brodie for making this video. I don't own a Stream Deck device, however, is it possible to use the Stream Deck Desktop software and configure the button with the function build in the Stream Deck... like 'Windows Mover' and then have that reflected on Companion and activate it through the Companion Emulator? Thanks
Good work , can u do a tutorial on how U make the the macros with the different camera takes and how u get the different shapes of FaceTime baseball etc...
Sorry Brodie, had one more question: Do you use your Stream deck to trigger your video clips? If so, what media player do you use to store your clips? Thanks again!
Hello, thank you for making this video, lots of great information. I'm looking into options to create a self-service recording studio for our faculty at my institution. Ideally I'd like to use a stream deck to control an ATEM Mini Pro ISO. The users would have a place to plugin a drive to a custom panel with a usb hub and stream deck mounted. The stream deck would have preset buttons linked to macros for record start/stop, switch sources and PIPs. I don't have the ATEM unit yet, can you confirm that a macro can be set for start/stop recording and be assigned to buttons on a stream deck? Any information is greatly appreciated.
Does the ATEM software need to be running to use the stream deck, or only the companion software? If the ATEM needs to be running, can it be minimized?
two things to create this... upstream key whereas my camera shot is cropped, resized, and placed OVER the computer source. THEN downstream key where the graphic i've made covers the two sources so you can't see any edges. that make sense? I know it's hard to describe.
@@brodiebrazil Really great video! Very clear! Can you make another video on how did you achieve this effect! It will be very appreciated! Regards from Spain!!

I like the way you talk. Ive watched hundreds,,,,20 seconds in and I’m sold…… I shall follow you. I willl battle the streams!
That’s what I was looking for a days! Perfect and simple. Thanks for connection between atem and stream desk via companion. Thanks! you made my day!

Your audio quality is insane
Excellent explanation, it answers many of my questions.
I just hope you’ve made more videos on other similar things we have in common!

AWESOME Brodie thanks! Currently working on a home set up to conduct remote interviews
There’s a couple good solutions out there... i believe this way to be one of the best, at home. 👍🏻
best regard Can you make a tutorial on how to make the two boxes, I appreciate it. I learned a lot from your video

thanks! my mic is the neumann u87ai... camera is a canon 6d mark ii. with a 5 point lighting setup... and a lot of acoustic treatment in the room.
Can i use stream deck pedal to change camera view in blackmagic atem mini pro
awesome mate ... thanks ..

What do you use to play/inject the sounds from stream deck in video/atem?
SUPERB! Thanks so much ... go A's
Any suggestions using all this with pro presenter 7 and integrating together for livestream?

yes, good idea! i'll do that in an upcoming video - how to set up traditional "double boxes"
Hi. I really liked your video. So I want to ask a question.
Do these settings with atem mini pro and stream deck also work for eccam live?
Did you say Periscope? Didn't know they were still around. Great video man. Thanks
Sorry Brodie, had one more question: Do you use your Stream deck to trigger your video clips? If so, what media player do you use to store your clips? Thanks again!
i actually don't use it to do that... BUT... i believe you can using the VLC player application to hotkey video playback from a computer
Thank you. I only have one stream deck. So can I use what you are saying connecting companion to the stream deck for the Blackmagic using macros?

Good day! Is OBS necessary for those animated graphics, overlays, and stinger transitions? Thank you.
What soundboard is that? Can you also control it with StreamDeck? Thanks
What's your audio setup?
How did you do that double box affect? I thought the mini could only do one live source at a time?

Very interesting video! Could you help me with some issues regarding to the macros in detail? Could you tell me an email address?
hello, sorry, i probably won't have time to get into too much detail, but if you can let me know what your issues are i might be able to help here.
VÖW, check out Photo Joseph here on CZcams, he’s got a good tutorial or two about the ATEM macros!
You know, you actually just need a smartphone...
