Installed both hot and cold side HSM pipes on my truck because of your videos but have a noise that sounds like a kazoo under boost. I KNOW it's not a piping or connector leak. Have you ever heard anything like this? Thanlks for all your contributions to the Powerstroke community!

I run their cold side pipe (black, metal, with the throttle valve provision) and recently installed this exact hot side pipe on my 2012. They look absolutely killer and the fit and finish is unmatched in my opinion. Only issue I had was the hot side kept blowing off under high boost and I needed to have the Allen set screws in there with the factory-style clamp. I am running a modified 15+ VGT with a 10mm CP4, so that additional power and boost could be the reason it happened. Might not have that issue on a stock truck. Either way, HSM puts out some awesome products!

I run the Dorman cold pipe on my 6.7 2016 F350. Looks stock but made of stainless steel powdered black and has nice silicone boots. Unexpectedly nice for a Dorman fix it product. The clip side at the TValve was tight fit but that's ok.
I have the Dorman aluminum coolant Y on my 2013 Coyote which is also a fix-it product to replace the failure prone stock plastic one. Also a tight fit but works fantastic.
Back to the 6.7, I just bought the Candy Red HSM hot side pipe but have not installed it yet. Looks fantastic and almost a direct match to the Ruby Red of the truck

I did the cold side a couple days ago along with S&S disaster prevention kit and then the hot side decided to not stay together so I ordered the hot side kit immediately. I put on the upper and lower fuel filters about a week ago they definitely have amazing products

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARodyou should use the set screws. The o ring on mine dry up and the aluminum assembly damaged the output side of the turbo flange. I use to run the AFE hot side pipe Never again. The AFE pipe has no boot on the turbo side. Very rigid. When the o ring dries out the pipe damages the flange. A lot of the aluminum ended up inside the intercooler. There’s a good reason behind them set screws. It’s a great design.

The issue is the sealing, if you spray soapy water on your piping (everything) the one thing that on every single truck I've ever worked on that leaks charge air is the turbocharger outlet connection the very thing he demonstrates in the video. You CAN put a traditional o ring in there and get rid of the lip seal inside the assembly but for all that and the fact its not under "tension" it will simply wear and leak again. (PTT Put the set screw on, its to stop the seal from wearing out)

I bought the Sinister Diesel cold side pipe when it was on sale and because HSM was out of stock when I was in the market. In hindsight I think I should have waited because to get the matching hot side and the other tempting under the hood goodies Sinister offers is going to cost a fortune if I don’t want a Frankenstein truck lmao.
