17 Bolt Action Army Showcase: The Ultimate 8th Army, Day 4 SAS / LRDG

Day 4, the final day… but also I think I have saved the best for last!
The last in the Bank Holiday special see’s my 8th Army bolstered with yet Commonwealth army, but this time my force is supported with SAS / LRDG who come with jeeps and trucks, and lots of machine guns to build another force within the ultimate 8th army showcase!
Starting the project on January 1st 2023, and lasting three months I have managed to create a four massive Bolt Action armies, troops, support, teams and tanks all by the end of March, and just in time for Easter.

First up was the British 8th, a huge army of British desert troops and tanks, more than enough for any collection. Then I added the Commonwealth consisting of Australian, New Zealand, Sikh’s and Scots guards.
Today we see the SAS / LRDG special forces army on day four and the final day of my Bank Holiday 8th army showcase… these are great and they are worthy of a shelf to displayed them in their own right!

Thanks, it’s taking a while as the 8th army took 3 months of painting every day, now starting all over again with the Germans! So need to keep the momentum going!!!

Yes, we’ve had feedback on that and no longer have the ambient battle noise… we are also looking at microphones for better audio.
At the moment everything is done on my iPhone!

Nice one! This models are stunning so definitely makes sense to do them justice with a cheap mic. Bluetooth headphones set to mic might be an easy step up without having to buy new kit.

@benw8825 great idea… but I think blue tooth microphones would allow both players to be heard clearly. Hopefully getting them soon 👍🏻

Hi great looking force. I was just wondering which army selector list you will be using for the SAS to get a sniper?

Hi, I built the army so they could be used for several games, Bolt Action, Chain of Command, 0200 hrs and what ever else I try… so a sniper seemed to be a good choice to include 👍🏻
I know Armies of Great Britain have the SAS in the 1940-44 Raiders list with sniper as an option.
