I had really felt like i was struggling creatively as of late, maybe the past week or so. This beat really got me out of the funk and I am optimistic going forward. I was trying a lot of new things on this beat (nothing major really just mixing/arrangement things) as well as using new sounds... those two things alone made the cook up process much more interesting. Imma try to continue to experiment a bit and see what works and what needs work. i love the chords on this beat a lot... def my fav part bc i often struggle to make chords that i have not used before or am interpolating from other songs. @@baadbeats nah man, I skimmed through a couple of beats, and your bass always sits perfectly, you gotta tell me HOW you do so. What VST do you use? what effects do you put on etc etc?

@@waylobeat shoot I typically use boo bass in fl (stock bass) to start out w a really basic, subby bass. From there I’ll apply eq and distortion, then more eq to adjust the bass to whatever the beat needs. I also use synth oneshots/stock plugins to make reese basses. Basically I’d pitch those down a lot and eq out highs and boost necessary lows to fit the beat
