Every Advenstist should watch this presentation; and as a Christian, prayerfully apply what needs to be applied in one's Adventist life.

I have done my own research of the entire Bible and the most compelling subject in all of the Bible (and all of Ellen G Whites writings) is "a call to rightousness". Let us not forget this lest we be consumed in our iniquities. Maranatha!

This is what the Bible declares and it includes obedience!
"God does not ask us to do in our own strength the work before us. He has provided divine assistance for all the emergencies to which our human resources are unequal. He gives the Holy Spirit to help in every strait, to strengthen our hope and assurance, to illuminate our minds and purify our hearts." CCh 99.1

I just got this comment from Ellen G white from the book Council for the churches..
"Death before dishonor of God's law should be the motto of every Christian"
I don't do my best to abstain from iniquity in order to be perfect. I do what is necessary to keep me from being separated from God and His blessings. If our purpose in life is to glorify God and keeping his Commandments is the essence of love for him then this is our purpose. What more could anyone desire?
    Maranatha!

The way Ellen G. White writings are organized if you've read them long enough is that she writes about law and grace. You can see that in the paragraph structure.

    From David...
    2 Samuel 22:21-25 (repeated in Psalm 18:20-24)
"21 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
22 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
23 For all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.
25 Therefore the Lord hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight."
Keeping the commandments is a test of faith. If you read this entire chapter above you will find just what Jesus said in John 14:15-16.
John 14:15-16 Paraphrased... if we strive to keep the statutes of God faithfully out of Love for Christ, Christ will will dwell in us through His Holy Spirit. Many times the Bible tells us that he who regards iniquity in his heart God will not hear. This means that we live to this higher standard in order to glorify God not to persecute or look down on others.
As for this quote (and others like it) from Mr Knight...
"No one will ever be saved because they stopped doing something"
... I believe a strong warning must be made against such and he should reread Galatians 5:19-21 (and Ecc 12:13-14) concerning those who say such things.
    Maranatha!

one of the greatest temptations is to adapt our theology to CORRESPOND TO OUR EXPERIENCE, instead of learning how to change our experience to fit God's theology. trying to find the truth based on experience is a very dangerous thing, it's called EXISTENTIALISM. and it will lead us to error. If Job relied on his own experience what would have happened to him?

Here is a passage from Ellen G White...
""Paul had ever exalted the divine law. He had shown that in the law there is no power to save men from the penalty of disobedience. Wrongdoers must repent of their sins and humble themselves before God, whose just wrath they have incurred by breaking His law, and they must also exercise faith in the blood of Christ as their only means of pardon." My final thought.. George Knight gives us an awkward View of how many Seventh-Day Adventists live their salvation. I realize this is so. But our job is not to be better than others. Our job is to do what God told us to do. First and foremost it is keeping the Commandments. Secondly we are not to look down on others and judge other people by our standards. Jesus told us to be a light in the world. A light is basically a witness. We live to the higher standard and allow God to emanate through us and not condemn others. We live to obedience while bringing others to Christ. And yes brother k n i g h t.. we do have to give up something. You cannot receive anything in this life without giving up something. That is an absolute fact. Maranatha!

@@lindusa.9450 Hi. I know Goerge Knight's views on this and actually have watched the video. Supposition that the context of "character of Christ perfectly reproduced" is "perfect love" sounds nice, yet it is NOT an adventist gospel and message. You really can't blow the supposed dust of the book cover to reveal it's contents. Adventism's burden is to preach perfection as an effect of character transformation of the Day of Atonement - Christ's work in the sanctuary. You can't just mention "love" as an answer because this is commonly overused word meaning nothing. Or at least many different things. Knight acts as it was only one option of perfection and only of pharisaic type. Would you please refer where Knight is speaking of another option? The word "love" is a nice one, and catchy for many, but actually being said in the context of evangelical "gospel" which completely unlinks love with the law (sunday keepers usually say so) destitutes clear and solemn word and promise of God when it comes to preparation. He's right when it comes to character preparation, but still - doesn't set the AIM. Stefanovic, Knight et consortes - they all fight with the last generation theology. Am I wrong on that, or not?
