Xbox is most likely to offset the cost of a high-quality handheld with its software and ecosystem, the same way Nintendo probably does with theirs. I think the demand is there for an official Xbox handheld that runs an official Xbox dashboard. So, without knowing the backend numbers, I do think they would be foolish not to. Plus, it will help them break into more markets where handhelds reign supreme.
Cant be cloud based. It will fail. I cant believe they cant just look at the data with ISP choice. There isnt any. To my knowledge they have data caps. At least comcast does. They sell you unlimited at 20 dollars extra. Mind you I pay for a faster tier. And yet cloud is still garbage!!!!!! Call them out its crap.
Having an Xbox handheld would actually be awesome to have, considering how much I travel. Great coverage as always bro 🎉
Especially for us truckers who love to game and travel as well, an Xbox handheld will be very cool to have, at the moment I have the rog ally and it’s been great, no more being bored in my truck lolol

It should be also coming with Steam and Windows as desktop mode like on the Steam Deck and it should have a dock like the Switch so that it can unleash it's power on the TV.

Supposedly they were exploring the ability to stream your entire library and not just GP games, not sure if it would be in the same way as the PS handles it it in term of your console having to be on but that would be my guess
Where do you think all those games are going to be stored? Dude, you'll have to transfer the games from your hard drives from your current console to the Xbox handheld.

Its not gonna be just for streaming lol its going to be its own console. Being able to stream and run gamea natively. Playstation is working on 1 as well @@Whoozurdaddy

I really hope they keep the disc drive since the Series X is great for playing movies.
They should definitely keep it, pending we get another TB. That'd nicely put me on a well needed 4TB storage with my 2TB expansion popped in. Most of my smaller games are on it. My internal 1TB is running a little over 75%.
Keep the current Series X and expand the storage cheaply with a USB SSD or similar, or I guess one of the proprietary ones if you don't mind the price gouge. The design is solid, it runs quiet, the dash is fast. Upgrading to a newer one cos it has a bit more storage but loses the disc drive seems pointless.
Exept the xsx is still region locked, i can’t play my dvds i bought in the US because i live in Europe, region lock in 2024 ? Unbelievable…
Who buys movies with discs anymore? Last time I watched movie with disc was like years ago. Only thing I use disc drive for is old backward compatiple games I have in discs. But my digital library is much bigger even for them.
@@garydiamondguitarist Proprietary is best as you're always ensured the same architect and that sort, same reliability for storage. Hell, you can carry it with you and load from there I believe if your acct is on multiple consoles.

Exactly, I for one am excited for console that offers more power and better performance. I can't imagine anyone complaining about getting better hardware that is very much needed at this point.
Nowadays, GPUs have the same if not longer life span than consoles. So it's even more similar with GPUs lasting 6-7 years.

@@RexGames94 Game devs always aim for what the market has most of, as far as PC gaming goes, the bulk of gamers are on mid-low end GPUs, those with 4080s/4080s are a small group actually. Majority is still rocking cards like a 4060/7700 and lower. So yeah, if you have a high end card you're not going to be looking to upgrade in a few years.

I think the one thing I am most looking forward to in terms of Xbox hardware is the controller that was leaked. That has a ton of potential! Of course, if they did come out with an official handheld for the next-gen, I would probably purchase that as well.

All great news ... those who are mad about it .. I don't understand.. it's like my pc I have to keep upgrading it to stay with the curve , and I am fine with a new console every 3 years
I’m hyped about the haptic feedback controller. I have a PS5 as well and those features make the game come alive. MK1 in particular is spectacular with the surround sound effects working with the rumble from the controller while fighting. I was intentionally buying story based games on the PS5 for those features. Can’t wait to get that thrill on the series X as well 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿

I think it’s too little too late for a handheld. Maybe two or 3 years ago yes, but the competitions head start is going to lead them to a last place position once again

I've been noticing on my Xbox console that when I play CZcams videos, the sound quality is different on the app than it is when I use the web browser that is built into the system. In any event, I just basically purchased an Xbox Series S, so I don't know if I'm gonna necessarily buy anything new, but all this is fascinating to me.
Awesome video, I'll be getting the xsxad and both of the next Gen consoles. I really hope next Gen will have higher frame rates native and stop this 4k30fps modes in games. I play 4k120 on console and 4k160+ on PC, to try and play something at 30fps just doesn't happen anymore

@@theone5404 because physical media is on the way out generally. We already have discless Xbox’s and PlayStation 5’s. I’d be surprised if there were any optical disc drives on or attached to consoles in a decades time if not sooner.
If they are indeed coming out with a handheld, I want the option to download games on it so I don't have to rely on streaming the game only. Wifi on planes suck
I hope the handheld is real. Being able to dock it and play games installed on it sounds great. As long as it's not a streaming deck, I'm in.

I remember when each new console was a big leap. Now they are just new versions old systems; no big leaps.
Almost any new Nintendo system is going to be worth getting. But aside from that, I feel like I should just build a gaming PC and upgrade it every now and again.
Never really cared for handhelds, but a handheld Xbox would be killer ❤ hopefully there's an option for discs or cartridges or some sort of insert for physical games as well as the capacity to download games digitally.
Not to mention uther would be the xdl console, which alot of this been hinted at through the Xbox insider program

I believe Xbox and PlayStation need to go on a head and make a console that will be the same price as the computer that can be upgrade able so that way they don't have to keep coming out with new consoles every generation that will be easy for both companies
Not a fan of everyone pushing digital only, but everything else is awesome! Love that the rechargeable battery packs will be normal with the new controllers
I like to say I love the information that U go out ur to provide for us true Xbox fans. I would love and see what they saying to be true, we all need a big upgrade that when comes home from a long and hard day of work, I can lay back and chill having fun playing my Xbox with great graphics and a great story.
I think it's more likely than not that the hardware they show Holiday 2024 is the streaming stick/dongle they said they went back to the drawing board on.
In my professional opinion, the handheld device would be a valuable addition to the Xbox Series product line. I believe it would be beneficial if the device were designed to be portable, allowing users to access the service while on the move.

I have invested a lot of money on the Xbox, PC platforms! Been a fan since 2001 when I bought the first Xbox. and I have every Xbox console that has come out! Including special editions etc! Looking forward to what they're doing next for hardware and software X cloud etc💯.
Same here! I walked in gamestop they had the 1st halo on demo my mind was blown got the system halo max Payne it was so awesome

@violetfem1808 Absolutely!!! What I don't get is since then I haven't been Awed by such a big generation graphical jump and by a game since that 1st halo. They are Absolutely milking technology these days
I would have love the Brooklyn IF it had an optional disc drive and a space in the back for the memory expansion NvME SSD cartridge for two more TBs.
Hopefully Microsoft will offer a really good trade in for their previous consoles for those who want to upgrade to the newest one.

I refuse to pay full price for a perpetual license to play digital games that can and will taken away at some point in the future.
Considering Phil already told everyone they have done internal prototyping and testing (and found, "now" is not the time) I'd say of course they keep evaluating it (in my opinion the switch forces them too).
I will be there day 1 as I always have, unfortunately I moved to Costa Rica from the states and when the Series X came out it cost me over $1300. But i will be there.

If they bring out one that is decently specd and has the right price then i will definitelly get it.
The images I saw of the All-Digital Xbox showed it to have a Small Flat Edge on the back-side where we would plug-in the power cord etc. So it wasn't completely cylindrical like the images show here and a design which I thought was pretty cool, rather than having it completely cylindrical.....But that's just my thoughts.

We hear this every time and they never live up to the hype, the x still has no real 4k games much less 60fps.
4k gaming was a lie, glad im still gaming on my old 1080p tv. 4ktv owners punching the air right now
This gen is well disappointing. Consoles struggling no way they can do a AAA game with 4K native at 60fps, then there’s raytracing which it simply doesn’t have the power to do. The norm in quality seems to be 1440 native at 30fps or slightly upscaled which is a long way from native
I won’t get a 2024 refresh, but I will get a 2026 next gen. That’s a fair amount of time between generations.
Though by that time devs will finally be putting the XSX hardware to proper use.

Yeah i believe next gen xbox will be a main home system as the series X along side with a handheld powerful enough to run current and next gen games.
More games are needed to show what the current hardware is capable of.

As a PC gamer primarily, I dont care who makes one but I really would like an alternative to PC gaming. I actually hate playing on PC because of all of the trouble shooting etc. I just want to be able to have good performance while also having the ease of use of a console. I guess we'll see.

They'd have to include/offer a detatachable disc drive, which its license transfer function is also rumor because we all know how that would turn out with trade-ins after the fiasco with the One.

I think Digital Foundrys Richard Ledbetter might be right about them adding a 3rd tier closer to mid tier PC performance it will be 6 or 700 with the X2 sitting at 5 to 600 but personally I would pay that if it really can hit 4k60 in most games
