So happy this video was here. Fired up the box and no clock no signal. Did the reset, back in business. 1st time I tried it it got stuck on the boot screen and then I just turned it off and turned it back on and booted up just fine everything was good. Thank you!

For the Nexsmart brand if the enter (ok) button doesn't work use the power button instead as the enter (select) button
Worked for me however i can't make the red light (standby) to go blue (on)
Many thanks. I have a Kata Box that would not boot up. Pressing the reset button with a paper clip and holding it down while plugging the power, it entered the update mode and after about 3 minutes, it was already running.

Could you please tell me something about the xtv pro box? I am facing the logo stuck issue. And I tried this method, but it's still on the same page.
well, I have no experience with that device. Maybe their hard reset works differently. Its unfortunate that it is a Chinese made knock off device. There is probably not a lot of support for it.
And now.....my MBOX is like brand new!!!!!!!!!! Whoooooooo hoooo!

Am grateful for this video and it gave me hope, but my trouble is a bit different and there may not be a fix for it?? Mine is "stuck" on the Try again/Factory Reset page and I can't get it to change at all and have tried both the remote control and the bluetooth mouse. It just won't budge Neither the remote nor the mouse want to communicate with the android box.

Worked on my M8s box but not on MXQ box. Anybody got any further options apart from throwing it out?
my tv turned off my box, and it will no longer turn on. I've tried to reset the box like you showed and it will not go into factory reset mode. I used those slim screw drivers because the toothpick would keep sliding, is the metal screw driver the problem?

Did that but asked me for a password...this box is Cloud TV model (Home strong tv)...can't use the erasing method with the wood stick becuse the box has not one but 3 AV entrances (Yellow, red and white). What do you suggest me?
On over these boxes did a hard reset no command comes up go to factory reset and the program doesn't reset

Yes this is a factory reset you will lose everything that you set up on the box to begin with

All of a sudden when I plug-in my HDMI cable to my TV and select the input remote button, select HDMI 1 and the screen turns blank. I have tried a new HDMI cable, but I still get the same result. It was working just fine until I turned off my TV from the power strip and when the TV reboited, my android box quite working through the HDMI cable. Help please.

Hi I am trying to reset as shown in your video, I have a MX q Pro 4K box, the blue light is showing but I can not turn it on, its like it is stuck in standby mode, I have put a tooth pick in the back of the AV port, and can feel the button and have done as you did in the video, but nothing is happening, is there anything else I could try? It was all working fine then I has a different TV package installed from SKY to Virgin and now it does not seen to work, Hope you can tell me if there are any fixes?

I have the T95Z Plus Android 12.0 TV Box. Was booting to Home Screen like it should. Now boots to KODI. Do I attempted the reset as done here. My Android box will not power on while holding the reset button and power at the same time. My version does not have a power button so I use the remote controls on/off button.
Did you try deleting kodi? Is Kodi essential to your setup? You probably clicked an option somewhere in settings. In general kodi makes a good starting point for an Android box.
@@thestreamingadvisor Well after looking the remote controller closer I saw a key that read APP never saw that before cause I had not used the device that long. That took me to the screen that showed all the applications. Soooooo I accessed the Google Play Store and deleted all the applications I installed including the pre installed KODI ceot for one other.
Rebooted device. Device booted up perfectly. So we are good. I did reinstall KODI just for giggles and wiggles. I reinstalled that after I rebooted the device.

I don’t know. Can’t use every single little box in the world 😊, but it’s a pretty universal fix.

Yes there is a difference. The big one is that it is needed to flash new firmware, which a lot of folks who get Android boxes like to do. Factory resets just set the box up the way it came out of the packaging.

If the software loads again it should be cleared out and ready to be set up however you like.

I tried it on my Hyfai box but nothing happened. The red light isn't even on anymore to indicate it's powered up. I tried a different outlet but still nothing. Perhaps it's fried?

See if the settings are on auto. If so uncheck the box. I've had that problem. I'm guessing your google play store wont work because of the date problem.
