Queen's Live Aid set is one of the Top 10 rock performances of all time, hands down. I've never seen someone command a crowd of 72,000 people like Freddie Mercury did -- the man could have started his own religion that day. The spontaneous, in-sync clapping during Radio Gaga is breathtaking.

Queen should be in the book of world records for the most arena anthem type songs in history. You can’t go to a baseball, football, basketball game, etc…. Without hearing at least three of their songs. They got the crowd involved. They made the crowd part of the show. More than the crowd was there to see them play, they were there to see the crowd play along. One of the best and most unique bands ever.

John Deacon is an electronics genius who was studying electrical engineering prior Queen becoming famous. John built custom amplifier for Brian May. It called "Deacy Amp".
Even electronics company manufactured these amps one time.
Since Freddie died, John joined few reunions. Now, he is fully retired. But John still an equal say in band's activities because when all 4 started out, each one have a voice in band's business. John and I think estate of Freddie sued Brian and Roger for using Queen while they have singer, Adam Lambert. All parties settled.
Now, it is Queen + Adam Lambert.
I think that John sued them because they betrayed Freddie's legacy. Freddie was driving Force making Queen well known.

It was also nominated for Best Picture. It was a film made for Queen fans not film critics. The filmmakers definitely took some liberties regarding timelines of certain events but, at the end of the day it grossed $280 million at the domestic box office making it the number six highest grossing film of 2018. THE GREATEST BAND with THE GREATEST FRONTMAN EVER In HISTORY! This was their take on Disco, thanks to John Deccan for writing this fun song(even if it too short) you just can’t beat the bass riff. Unfortunately the “riff” in this song never gets on the “greatest riffs in history “ because it’s on a bass instead of guitar. Freddie Mercury is greatly missed 😪😭wish he had lived longer so I could have experienced what other great hit he would have sung.😍🥰🤟🤟🌈

Queen had 4 songwriters in the band... so each member brought a diverse element into their music.
This track was written by bassist John Deacon... it became a global #1 single in 1980. It also marked a change for Queen in a pop direction - in the 70's, they refused to use synthesizers in their records.
This album 'The Game' used synthesizers.
So in subsequent Queen records, they went more pop... and as a result, their US popularity fell, even as they were superstars worldwide...

This is such a dark song to have such a cool vibe! I think that's why I loved it so much. After I got the album, way back when, I was blown away by the beginning lyrics.. the lines and the way Freddie sings it, hitting every syllable as he struts:
Steve walks warily down the street
With his brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet
    Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready hey are you ready for this?
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat?
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
To the sound of the beat yeah..
    Excellent performance!
