West wing is one of my favorite shows but I feel it's a complete series. Newsroom is the one that should be rebooted. It was left unfinished.

West wing needs to be rebooted. I mean I will watch any TV series by Aaron Sorkin but I think the West Wing would be very appropriate.

Meryl Simmons I thought it might be interesting to have the way into the new version be one of our original cast members facing a senate confirmation so we can get caught up with all the characters through flashbacks before getting into the new administration.

Netflix is rerunning the entire series. I watch a little each evening and go to bed with a full heart feeling happy and positive.

Sorry if this is a duplicate. My reply seems to have disappeared so here it is again. Netflix is re-running the entire series. I watch it every night and go to bed with a full heart, feeling content and happy. Just what we all need in today's political climate.

The electorate get the democracy they deserve.

To an extent, yes. But as he says, people are busy and don't have the time to pay attention to government. Meanwhile, the uber rich can pay people to influence the electorate through owning the media, influence politics through donations and influence government through lobbying. So in America there are two parties that, in global terms, are both on the right and all other parties are locked out. The only real differences between those parties is on social issues, so that's where the political battleground is. But the real answers to America's problems lie in economic answers, and there is no possibility for politicians to make that case.
