- Hello and welcome to Rich Textures Crochet!
Today we are going to learn how to crochet the bean stitch. This stitch pattern is double sided, it looks the same on the back as it does the front. It has a great weight and texture to it. For this tutorial I will be using the Caron x Pantone yarn along with a 6mm crochet hook.

Dr ❤😂😢😮😅😢😢❤❤❤❤❤
I love the bean stitch. You teach it so well and slowly. I hope lots of beginners find your channel. It will serve them well. As a seasoned crocheter, I like your channel too bc you offer so many different types of projects! My fav thing tho...☺️...is the sound, the beautiful sound you make with the hook and yarn. I don’t hear it on all crochet channels, but I can always hear it on yours. Music to my ears! 🎶🤗
Thank you so much its my first time to understand the bean crochet stitch
I love the simplicity and clarity you give as you teach this beautiful and fun stitch!

Very pretty stitch. Thanks for sharing.😊
Beautiful stitch! That yarn is gorgeous!!! Thank you! I will give it a try!
I am attempting to make a sweater/wearable with this stitch. It's still winter, so a heavier sweater will be nice, but with the natural holes this stitch makes, shouldn't be too heavy.
Thank you so much for this easy tutorial!
Beautiful. I plan to a scarf. Or a shawl. You are wonderful. Crochet very neat
One of my favorite go-to stitches. Easy to do and works up fairly quick. Thanks Sarah!!
You’re welcome :)
Will continue to follow u. All the best. Looking forward for more projects
I'm in the middle of doing this right now! I am making tiny blankys for Christmas presents this year. I am using bernate blanky yarn ( # 9 hook size)and it's so sturdy it's more like a mat! And very warm. Which is actually a good thing for the 2.5 year old, he now has a mat he can sleep on! And then use later in life for a seat cushion of sorts. Ty, this is a great stitch!
So perfect!
Gracias !😊
Really lovely and thank you for the wonderful and simple demo.
Great tutorial! Gonna start a blanket right now with this! Thank you.
Amazing video! I have only been crocheting for 9 months. This was so easy to follow and understand. I am beyond amazed how straight the lines are.
I am having trouble with my yarn splitting, but I think it is because of the yarn I am using. It is very loose. However I am determined to use this yarn because how soft it is.
Gorgeous Sarah!
Lovely pattern. Added to my to do list. Thank you for sharing

You’re welcome!
Wow! I have done this one before but it was with another video.
I didn't like it because it would leave the sides end all messy.
Now with your video mine come out very nice and neat.

I love your hook.. where can I get one?
The bean is one sc and 2dc in single stitch?
How many chains do you start with, please
Is this the same stitch as Elizabeth crochet stitch
I love this stitch! Anything with puffs, beans, etc. are all my favorites! Would you please tell me the name of the bookmarks you show at the end of your video? I would like to make that pattern. I really like your bookmark tutorials, the only ones I like to make! Thank you very much!

I will be watching for it!! thank you for replying!
Is this not called a cluster?
I’m working on making an infinity scarf using this stitch. Should the last row before I connect also be single crochets?
How is a bean stitch different than a puff stitch?
How can I make increasing
I had the same questions and I figured it out! :D
After the first 2 rows - chain 2 instead of 1 and single crochet in 2nd stitch, skip next stich and repeat bean stitch across the row, single crochet into last stitch, chain 2, skip 1st stitch and repeat bean stitch across row.
This will do an increase with an even number of stitch. Just make sure to keep track that they are an even number! c:
