@@Cloud4DevOps thank you for you're reply
I didnt undertand the fail-back part- if relicaito nis a one-way street- the moment that the secondary ( recovery) instance takes over - how is the new incremental data then passed back on to the primary server - in this example it was a simple apache webpage so its static.
But in case of a transactional EBS volume with lots of changing data - how will the data be back-propagated when failback is initiated ? Maybe I am missing something ?
Keen on getting a reply on this as well. The explanation was not as clear. He said something like installing the agent on the replication server but did not demonstrate
How many snapshot will create, As per our environment I can see last 1year EDRS snapshot are there, Can we clear those old snapshot
I see u r doing the demo on cloud .. so in this case is it necessary to give secret key and access key to source server .. cant it inherit policy from iam role
you can do that too with help of IAM role.
If we are doing Elastic DR with on premise server.how can we add IAM policy to the source server??
IAM is on AWS end which you will need to configure to access DR service as role permission. On the Source server which is ur on-premises server, you have to install a replication agent and once you install the replication agent it will start replicating data and configuration from the source to your AWS. Hope that helps..
when i am trying to install my replicating agent in a region different from my source server region, it is giving an unexpected error but working fine within the same region. any idea on this?
Do you have video on Failback on Azure VM ?
hey plz give me solution how to install aws replication agent installer instructions and how to access the command via .py
You can download python script and install it.. accessing .py needs python installation on ur system..
AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, consider number of physical disk or inside OS number of drive like C. D drive
How to do fail back..In the console im not able to failback
How can I enable TCP 1500?
if its from on premise to AWS or other cloud to AWS , allowing traffic over TCP port 1500, make sure that your corporate firewall or Security FW on other cloud vendor enables this connectivity.
@@Cloud4DevOps The server is basically a virtual machine of my home computer, so I think I can't enable the port

Hi mate...
there was an issue while executing the #sudo ./aws-replication-installer-init
"botocore.errorfactory.UninitializedAccountException: An error occurred (UninitializedAccountException) when calling the GetAgentInstallationAssetsForDrs operation: Account not initialized [installation_id"
inorder to avert this... we need to enable DRS service in AWS main console..
